Eyes of Madness

There was only one rule. Don't open the door.
The chilling silence that had fallen over their son was a monstrous thing, devouring his laughter and his voice. His parents stared at him, their faces contorted in a grotesque mask of disbelief and horror. How could this be? Their boy, their Roman, reduced to a statue, eyes wide with an unspeakable terror. All because he opened the door.
A door that should never have been opened.
Roman, who used to stumble over words, now couldn't utter a single sound. He could only stare, his eyes fixed on his parents with a chilling intensity, a desperate plea trapped behind an invisible wall. He tried to speak, to warn them, but the words were choked off, lost in the abyss that had swallowed his voice.
"What's behind it, Roman?" his mother choked out, her voice a ragged whisper. "What did you see?"
But Roman couldn't answer. He couldn't tell them that the door didn't lead to a place, but to an oblivion beyond human comprehension. It wasn't a man, a woman, or a child that awaited those who dared to cross the threshold. It was something far worse, something that defied description, something that shattered the very foundations of reality.
It was a horror that no living thing could ever imagine. Captured in his eyes pure MADNESS!!!
