"The young man's oath at the coffin"
A promise whispered in grief...and answered in death

"The young man's oath at the coffin"
A rainy night in the funeral season
The sound of thunder echoed the pain in the heart of "Jimy", a young man who stood still in front of the coffin of a young woman who was like the last breath of his life.
"Emma..."
A soft voice came from Jimy 's mouth. His lips trembled as both hands grabbed the shoulders of the cold wooden coffin as if it contained not just a corpse but a lifetime of death.
Emma...was the young woman he had loved since childhood. A playmate by the fence who used to chase each other in the grass became the young woman he wanted to marry. But fate was cruel. Emma was brutally murdered in an abandoned house by the farm where they had met on the last night of their lives.
No one knew what happened at that time. Emma's body was found in a torn condition, with broken fingernails, and she had died from extreme fear, as if she had encountered something...not human.
The oath that should not have been uttered
Jimy knelt down, his eyes red and swollen with tears, his hands clasped tightly together, his lips biting tightly before he swore in a trembling voice.
"If your death was caused by a human being, If it is the injustice that the heavens have created... I swear before her lifeless body that I will drag the guilty to hell with me!"
That night, the Church was so quiet that even the sound of breathing was clear. The headlights of the corpse flickered as if they were going to go out for a moment, and a faint whistling sound could be heard from the cold storage behind the Church...
Horror after death
After the cremation, Jimy began to dream of Emma. Every night, she came to him in the same state as when she died, her hair was disheveled and stained with blood, her eyes were white. Her whispers kept echoing in his head every night.
'' Jimy...find the truth for Emma...''
He began to dig into the story more, until he found that someone in the village had talked about the ''dark shadow in the abandoned house'' that had killed many people in the past, but no one dared to speak because everyone who had told him had disappeared without a trace.
Jimy did not care. He returned to the abandoned house on the night of the new moon, with his camera and white candles.
The night of the spirit awakening
When he stepped into the abandoned house, everything seemed to stop his breath disappeared, the air was unusually cold, and when he pointed the camera at the corner of the room... Emma appeared.
She did not come to be sweet, but to be in pain, her face was torn, her body was covered in blood. She screamed loudly! Making Jimy almost fall to the ground.
"Who... who killed you, Emma? Tell me!"
The reflection in the mirror shows an old man, the former owner of the house, a John who sacrificed women to gain immortality. Jimy searches for information until he finds out that he is still alive... hiding in the Church behind the mountain in the guise of an old Pastors.
The Night of Purification
One night, Jimy sneaks into the hut in the middle of the night. The old Pastor sits among the black candles, and the whisper of Emma spirit rings out again.
"Kill him..."
Jimy decides to tell the truth to the villagers, exposes the old Pastor's past, and brings out the bodies of the previous women buried under the abandoned house. Everyone prays for the soul with sadness.
But after that night...
The old Pastors hangs himself under the Tree in the Church. No one knows what happened that night. Only Jimy tells himself...
''I have promised my oath has been fulfilled''
My target doesn't end there ...
The next night, Jimy returns to Emma 's grave again, with a bouquet of flowers. He smiles yaaaa and says,
" Emma... everything is over... you should go."
A gust of wind blows. Whispering softly through his ear
"Not yet... not finished yet..."
Because the oath that was said that night... it did not only awaken love, but it awakened something that should not be awakened, and now it was... behind him.
"The oath that swallowed life"
3 months after the incident
Jimy 's life changed after revealing the truth about the old Pastor, Emma 's spirit, and the oath that had been uttered that night. He was no longer the same... quiet, not talking much. Many people said that he had "accumulated sadness". Some said that he "saw things that ordinary people should not see".
But no one knew that... he was slowly dying from the inside.
Every night, Jimy dreamed of screaming, the sound of nails scraping wood, the image of Emma in a half-ghost form, red eyes staring at him, along with a roar that...
"Promise... you must keep your promise... it's not enough!"
The truth that lies deeper
Jimy began to discover that exposing the old Pastors was only the first layer of the oath, because that night, he said the words...
"I will drag the guilty person to hell with me".
The word "guilty person" did not only refer to the physical perpetrator, but also to every soul that was directly or indirectly involved in Emma 's death.
And one of them... was himself.
The Night of Hunting
On the moonless night, Jimy returned to the abandoned house again to "return the oath". He brought flowers, lit incense, and wrote a suicide note.
But that night, when midnight came, the sound of footsteps choed throughout the house, even though there was no one there ....
The glass broke... Jimy saw his own shadow become Emma.
She no longer came in the form of the woman he loved, but a naked figure half flesh and half ash. Black flames engulfed her body, along with a cold whisper...
"You... are part of my death."
Because Jimy... had rejected her last request on the night she asked for a peaceful breakup, but he hurt her feelings with harsh words before she ran away in the middle of the night and was killed that night.
He... was not a murderer with his hands, but a murderer with his words.
The End of the Man Who Swears
The next morning...
Jimy 's body was found hugging a photo of in Emma in the middle of the abandoned house, dying in tears, his face twisted with sadness and horror.
No one knew what happened... except for the letter next to his body.
"I'm sorry... I never thought that those words would be like a sharp knife to kill you. I kept my promise, in Emma... we'll go together."
The Last Whisper
On the quiet night after Jimy 's funeral...
The shadow of a young woman stood beside the coffin of the young man she loved.
She whispered softly near the wooden coffin.
"This time...I will not be lonely anymore."
But the oath...still lingered in the abandoned house. Whoever said the oath...should not say it lightly, unless they were ready to pay the price with their life and soul.
