The Vampire’s Bride

When Love Turns Dark

The Vampire’s Bride

Elara and Adrian were the happiest couple in their little village. With his charming smile and her bright laughter, they were made for each other. Everyone believed they’d live a long, happy life together. They would often sit by the river, hand in hand, dreaming about their future.

One evening, as the sun set, Adrian turned to Elara, his eyes sparkling with excitement. “When we get married, I want to dance with you under the stars. Just you and me.”

Elara blushed and giggled. “You’ll have to sweep me off my feet first!”

Adrian laughed, pulling her closer. “Oh, I plan to.”

But one night, everything changed. Adrian didn’t come home after dark. Elara waited by the river, worry twisting in her stomach as the sky turned black. Suddenly, she heard a soft whisper in the woods. Her heart raced.

“Adrian? Is that you?”

A shadow stepped out from behind a tree. It was Adrian… but he looked different. His face was pale, and his eyes glowed red in the moonlight. Elara’s heart sank.

“Stay away!” Adrian shouted, panic in his voice.

“What happened to you?” Elara gasped, stepping back.

Before he could answer, a sinister laugh echoed around them. A tall, cloaked figure appeared beside Adrian. His presence sent chills down Elara’s spine.

“Who are you?” she demanded, trying to sound brave.

“I am Draven,” the figure said smoothly. “And your little lover here is my newest creation.”

Elara stared at Adrian, her heart aching. “What do you mean?”

Draven smirked. “Adrian is no longer human. He’s a vampire now. A devil bound by my magic. He belongs to me.”

“No! That’s not true!” Elara cried, shaking her head.

Adrian gritted his teeth, his fangs glinting in the moonlight. “It’s true, Elara. I… I can’t control it. I feel this hunger… a thirst I can’t quench. I’m dangerous.”

But Elara wouldn’t give up. “I don’t care what you’ve become! We’ll fix this. I’ll find a way to bring you back.”

Draven laughed. “Bring him back? That’s adorable. But he’s mine forever. And you should say your goodbyes—before he craves *your* blood.”

Elara looked into Adrian’s eyes, searching for the man she loved. “You won’t hurt me, Adrian. I know you won’t.”

“Run, Elara,” he growled, his body trembling. “Before it’s too late!”

Instead of running, Elara stepped closer. “No. I won’t leave you.”

For a moment, Adrian’s eyes softened. “I don’t want to hurt you,” he said, his voice breaking.

“I believe in you,” Elara said, her eyes shining. “You’re still my Adrian, no matter what.”

Suddenly, Draven raised his hand, and a dark force surrounded Adrian. Elara screamed, her heart racing. “Stop! Don’t hurt him!”

Adrian’s face twisted in pain. “I can’t control it! Elara, you have to go!”

“No!” Elara shouted. “I’ll stay and fight with you!”

Draven chuckled, enjoying their struggle. “You’re brave, little girl, but bravery won’t save you.”

Then, something clicked in Elara’s mind. “Wait!” she shouted, her heart racing. “You said Adrian belongs to you, right?”

“Yes,” Draven replied, his interest piqued. “Why?”

“Then I’ll become his bride,” Elara declared. “Make me a vampire too.”

Adrian looked horrified. “No, Elara! You can’t!”

Draven’s eyes widened. “You would give up your life… to become a creature of darkness for him?”

Elara nodded, her heart steady. “I love him. I’d do anything for him.”

“Love?” Draven sneered. “How sweet. But you’ll have to pay the price. Adrian will have to bite you.”

Adrian’s face turned pale. “I can’t do it!”

“You can,” Elara whispered, placing a hand on his cheek. “Because I trust you. I know you’ll protect me.”

Slowly, Adrian leaned closer, his fangs grazing her neck. Elara closed her eyes, ready for the bite. But instead, Adrian pulled back with a growl, turning to Draven.

“You made a mistake, Draven,” he snarled. “I’ll never be your puppet.”

In a flash, Adrian lunged at Draven, the power of love coursing through him. The two vampires clashed in a fierce battle, but Adrian’s strength, fueled by Elara’s bravery, overwhelmed Draven. With one final strike, he drove his fangs into Draven’s throat, ending his reign.

As Draven’s body crumbled into dust, Adrian fell to his knees, panting. “It’s over…”

Elara rushed to him, her eyes wide with hope. “Adrian? Are you… you again?”

Adrian looked up, his red eyes fading to their warm green. “Yes, Elara. I’m free.”

She threw her arms around him, tears of relief streaming down her face. “I knew you could do it.”

“I couldn’t have done it without you,” Adrian said softly, his voice thick with emotion. “You were my light in the darkness.”

As they stood together under the stars, Elara felt a warmth in her heart. “I love you, Adrian. No matter what happens, I’ll always be by your side.”

He smiled, his eyes shining. “And I’ll always protect you. Together, we can face anything.”

Hand in hand, they walked back to the village, ready to face whatever the future held—together.
