It was a dark and stormy night when Emily arrived at the old mansion on the outskirts of town. She had been hired to clean up the place and prepare it for a wealthy family who was planning to move in. As soon as she stepped inside, she felt a chill run down her spine. The air was thick with the scent of decay, and the old wooden floors creaked beneath her feet.

As she made her way through the mansion, Emily couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched. She kept turning around, but no one was there. Just as she was about to dismiss her unease as nothing more than her imagination, she heard a faint whisper. It was a woman's voice, but Emily couldn't make out what she was saying.

The whispering continued as Emily made her way up the staircase to the second floor. It grew louder and more insistent, and Emily realized that it was coming from one of the rooms. She cautiously approached the door, and as she reached for the doorknob, a sudden gust of wind slammed the door shut.

Emily jumped back, her heart pounding in her chest. She tried to open the door, but it wouldn't budge. Just as she was about to give up and leave the room, she heard a loud bang from the other side of the door. It sounded like something heavy had been thrown against it.

Emily took a deep breath and pushed hard against the door. This time, it gave way, and she stumbled into the room. It was completely empty, except for a single chair in the center of the room. As Emily approached the chair, she saw a dark figure standing behind it. She froze in fear, unable to move.

The figure slowly turned around, and Emily saw that it was a woman with long black hair and a white dress. Her eyes were empty and hollow, and her skin was pale and translucent. Emily realized with horror that she was looking at a ghost.

The ghostly woman spoke, her voice barely more than a whisper. "I am Agatha," she said. "And I have been waiting for you."

Emily didn't know what to say. She had never believed in ghosts before, but there was no denying the cold, dark presence in the room. "What do you want from me?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Agatha stepped closer, and Emily could feel a chill radiating off of her. "I want revenge," she said. "I was betrayed by the man I loved, and I have been trapped in this mansion ever since. But now, I have found a way to escape."

Emily felt a sudden surge of fear. She didn't want to be caught up in Agatha's revenge, but she didn't know how to escape. "What can I do to help you?" she asked, hoping that she could somehow placate the ghost.

Agatha's eyes narrowed, and her voice grew colder. "You can help me by finding the man who betrayed me," she said. "His name is Jonathan, and he lives in this town. I want you to bring him to me, so that I can have my revenge."

Emily knew that she had no choice but to comply. She left the mansion and began to search for Jonathan. It took her several days, but she finally found him living in a small house on the edge of town. She told him about Agatha, and he agreed to meet her.

When they arrived at the mansion, Emily led Jonathan to the room where Agatha was waiting. The ghostly woman was furious, and she lashed out at Jonathan with all of her strength. Emily watched in horror as he was thrown across
