The Shadow That Followed: Part 4
The mirror holds more than just reflections…

The police never found Mia.
Her phone, wallet, and keys were still inside the apartment, just like the others. The door was locked from the inside. No signs of struggle.
Just another missing person.
Apartment 6C stayed empty for a while. The landlord let dust settle over the furniture, hoping the mirror would stay quiet.
But the shadow never rested.
It was waiting.
The Journalist
Daniel Carter was an investigative journalist. He had spent years chasing urban legends, writing about haunted places, and debunking myths.
When he heard about the disappearances linked to Apartment 6C, he was intrigued.
No bodies. No break-ins. No explanations.
He had to see it for himself.
With a fake name and a cash deposit, Daniel convinced the landlord to let him stay for a week. The old man hesitated but eventually handed over the keys.
"Be careful at night," he muttered.
Daniel smirked. I hope the ghost likes interviews.
The First Night
Daniel set up cameras around the apartment. One in the bedroom. One in the hallway. And one facing the mirror.
He was prepared for anything—strange noises, flickering lights, even a trick of the landlord to scare him.
He wasn’t prepared for what he saw.
At 3:07 AM, his bedroom camera glitched. The footage became static.
The hallway camera flickered—just for a second.
And the mirror camera…
It showed something stepping out of the glass.
Daniel didn’t wake up until morning. His cameras were untouched, no sign of forced entry.
But when he checked the footage, his blood ran cold.
The mirror camera showed him sleeping peacefully.
And behind him—a shadowed figure leaning over his bed. Watching. Breathing. Waiting.
And worst of all?
At exactly 3:07 AM, his sleeping body sat up, turned to the mirror, and smiled.
The Second Night
Daniel stayed awake. He wanted to see it with his own eyes.
He kept his camera rolling and sat across from the mirror, waiting.
At 3:07 AM, the temperature dropped. His breath fogged the air.
Then—movement.
His reflection didn’t match him.
Daniel leaned forward. His reflection didn’t.
Instead, it stayed still. Grinning.
Then it raised its hand—but Daniel hadn’t moved.
A whisper filled the room.
"You’ve already joined us."
The lights went out.
Daniel barely had time to scream before the shadow pulled him in.
The Morning After
The landlord sighed, gripping the keys to Apartment 6C.
Another one gone.
Another soul trapped.
He turned to the mirror in the hallway.
Daniel was inside now.
His camera was still rolling.
And in the reflection, behind him, the shadow smiled.
Part 5 will reveal the final truth… Are you ready? 😈
