The Seventh Season of Supernatural was the Worst Storyline of the Entire Show
One of my most anticipated seasons in a TV show was utterly disappointing.

Season 7 of Supernatural is by far the worst season of the entire series. And this was beyond disappointing to learn, due to how anticipated this season was for me as a fan of the show. Season 6 focused on Sam Winchester coming back to his brother and his best friend, Castiel, from Hell, after his battle with both the Devil and another angel.
He returns with no soul, and his family help him get his soul back, only for another problem to arise, one is that is ten times more insane than Sam's lack of a soul. Toward the end of the season 6, Castiel gets possessed by these powerful creatures that were locked up for centuries. Creatures that were never meant to invade the Earth, because of how powerful and dangerous they were.
These creatures all possess the body of Castiel, who offers Dean a wicked smile, taunting him with a terrifying threat to the world.
The season ends right here, leaving me freaking excited for the chaos that is about to take place next season.
I was left speechless, and I knew I had to watch the next season right away, because there was no way in hell that I could wait.
This ending that left me excited, instead left me with total disappointment.
These creatures, known as the Leviathans, were the worst villains of the entire show.

The Leviathans were a fantastic concept, that were given the worst storyline. These monsters that ate human meat...had only one goal in mind.
And that goal...was to feed people junk food, until they die.
Yeah. THAT WAS THEIR PLAN. TO RULE THE WORLD.
It was plain dumb writing, and the main dude who led the Leviathans was named Dick Roman.
Seriously???
The dude who led some of the most 'powerful' monsters in the universe is named Dick? They couldn't have given him a cooler name than that???
Then we got two other storylines that were poorly written as well.
1. Bobby Singer, a father figure to Sam and Dean, gets shot by Dick.
I couldn't get over how they killed this main character. A gunshot takes this guy out, by a dude with one of the worst villain names ever, and knowing that thing is a monster, he chooses to use a gun???
Are you kidding me?
2. An angel general that was hyped up to be a powerful leader, gets killed in seconds by Castiel.
This idea could have saved the season for me, because how important his character was during the season. Then Castiel kills him so fast, that I thought at first his death was some kind of 'cop out.'
But no, he actually died in this scene, and I was so pissed off.
If you're going to hype up a villain like this, at least give us fans an awesome battle sequence, but no, he dies in SECONDS.
I seriously wonder what these writers were thinking while writing out this season. It's awful writing to another level, and yes, I'm seen a lot of bad seasons from other TV shows, but this is one of the worst seasons ever made for a popular horror show.
I'm not kidding here; I almost quit the show entirely, because of this season. I was constantly bored, and I did not like how badly written this storyline was. Monsters that were locked away for centuries...that were deemed to be PURE EVIL...was wasted opportunity.
How I wish this season was given to another writer, (possibly back to Eric Kripke as the official showrunner for one more season), to give us something unforgettable.
It's a huge shame, but at least the show was able to move on from their mistake with season 8, and so forth.
