Artistic presence, with no supernatural occurrences. In spite of the fact that art has taken over the first floor of the Laperal White House, the majority of visitors come here to satiate their curiosity about frightening and inexplicable phenomena.

They claim that the mist that covers the hills and streets of the City of Pines conceals a multitude of secrets and terrifying stories that are waiting to be discovered. They believe that the map of Baguio is filled with haunted homes and cursed hotels that have provided a safe haven for restless ghosts and spirits, some of whom may even be hostile. It is the Laperal White House, which is one of them.

The Laperal White House is a captivating structure that can be seen along Leonard Road. It is located right next to the Teachers' Camp, which is also said to be inhabited by spirits.

There have been a great number of tales. The terrible sight of a little girl standing still on the third step of the staircase that leads up to the front door of the home has been seen by a few passersby. They have reported seeing a lady peering out the glass windows of the building.

Even when the home was absolutely unoccupied, several people have reported hearing loud sounds and furious voices coming from inside the buildings. Some individuals have said that they had the distressing sensation of being undesired and being observed. Even the guards are scared of going inside when it is nighttime.

When the caretaker of the home, who resides in another house on the site, gave the order for a guard to chop down a fortune plant that was located on one side of the house, the guard carried out the order.

After being unwell, the guard was unable to move for many days. At the same time, a guard related his own personal experience inside. A call came in from his wife at one point, and he was in the middle of making his way around the house.

It was going well until she inquired about the person he was with at the time of the call. It would seem that the wife was hearing the voice of another lady. To tell you the truth, the guard was alone himself.

There is a possibility that the White House's lengthy and terrible past contributed to the Amityville reputation that it acquired.

This home was constructed in 1920, during the time when the nation was governed by the United States of America, and it has an American Colonial architectural style. It was the residence of the Laperal family, which was comprised of one of the oldest clans in Baguio and was led by Don Roberto himself. Dona Victorina, his wife, was believed to have a deep affection for the fortune plants that were located in the garden.

When the Second World War was at its height, Japanese troops came knocking on their door, bringing with them a sense of dread.

Again, if certain accounts are to be accepted, the mansion was converted into a garrison, and its inhabitants were responsible for the horrific torture and death of a great number of people.

Among them was the Laperal family, with the exception of Don Roberto, who would survive the war but would later die as a result of an accident in which he fell down the steps in front of the home.

On the other hand, who are the young girl sitting on the steps and the lady standing at the window? According to reports, the little child had passed away as a result of an additional mishap.

When the unfortunate child was trying to catch up with her nanny, who was on the other side of the street, she crossed the street and was ran over. There was also a nanny who was murdered in one of the bedrooms of the home; it is unknown if this was the same nanny or another one. People have a strong belief that the lady who was standing at the window and looked out over the street was the nanny.

Lucio Tan, a notoriously successful business magnate, is the current owner of the Laperal White House. It is now available to the general public and serves as the location of the Ifugao Bamboo Carving Gallery, which is a collaborative effort between the Tan Yan Kee Foundation and the Philippine Bamboo Foundation.

This exhibit is intended to "bring to the attention of the public the increasing importance of bamboo in the preservation of arts and culture of the Cordilleras, prevention of landslides and soil erosion, and pollution control," as stated in the show's mission statement.
