‘The Real Blair Witch’ is a Disturbing True Story About a Prank Gone Wrong
People still question whether or not this was actually a real thing…

This is not something I normally write about, but after what I learned, I feel like it needs to be discussed. After watching a YouTube video from a YouTuber that goes over real events in his channel, I was surprised to see a documentary video, going over a movie that is nearly impossible to watch.
I had no idea of its existence, and I was shocked to learn that it was given the title of “The Real Blair Witch.” If you are interested in checking this real story out, or if you want more information, here is the link to the YouTube video:

The YouTuber is known as Nexpo, and he always tackles the horror genre, or scary real incidents. He is really good at creating his own analysis videos on these types of events, so I suggest you give it a watch. I can't even believe that he was somehow able to find this mysterious 'film.'
The fact that this real incident was associated with my most favorite horror film of all time caught my attention and freaked me out. I knew I had to learn more about this strange story. I watched the YouTube video, and I was so surprised to learn the dark history behind this particular ‘film.’
The film is about a young woman who is kidnapped and taken against her will by her own friends to the woods. It happens at night, and the camera is in night vision the entire time, recording her terrified moments. She is then thrown into an empty grave, and the group pretends to slit her throat.
Then they reveal to the woman that it was just a prank.
Yes. I’m not kidding.
It was revealed that the friend group wanted to make a movie that would become as famous as The Blair Witch Project. So, they decided to not tell their friend that she would be kidnapped by them, for a chance to create the perfect horror film.
All because they wanted the most realistic reaction possible from her.
How messed up is that???
The woman obviously did not hesitate to call the authorities. The group was arrested and went to trial for this kidnapping crime. The footage was reviewed, and the group was charged with the crime, leading to terrible consequences for three of the group members.
The group did not receive a long sentencing for the crime, but tragedy struck three of the members among the group. Three of them all died years later, at young ages under different circumstances.
This part of the documentary shocked me, it was like a sort of curse followed the group after they tried to become famous with their own horror movie.
And to this day, people struggle to believe whether or not the woman was in on the prank for the movie.
In my opinion, I don’t think she had any idea of what her friends had planned for her. Even though she was caught laughing and smiling during the film, or caught scratching her nose, everyone reacts differently to situations like this.
It pisses me off that this group thought they could get away with making a movie without telling their own friend about the fake kidnapping.
It’s unfortunate what fame will do to some people…and this group scared the crap out of a poor woman to make their dreams come true.
That is freaking evil and messed up on so many levels.
