There was only one rule: don't open the door.
The rusted metal door had warnings all around, but Thomas dismissed the ones he could understand. His hand grabbed the smooth, cold handle and pulled hard. The door barely budged, but Thomas kept pulling until it opened. He was staring at the darkness when it started pulling small objects inside. The sucking slowly increased until Thomas was fighting to retreat. With a sudden surge he lost his footing and was swallowed by the opening.
An inky blackness covered him as he fell through nothingness. When he could finally see he was now falling towards the ground. He landed hard and his breath was forced out of his lungs. After catching his breath he weakly got to his feet and looked around. Before him laid a forest of blue trees with white leaves. With wide eyes he walked deeper and deeper into the unknown forest until he felt something watching him.
Thomas slowed his pace and cautiously looked for the culprit. There was nothing on the ground, so Thomas lifted his eyes to the canopy above. Tucked into the white leaves was a small two headed bird like creature with fur and talons. Thinking it harmless Thomas started talking to it, but it didn't seem to like that. The creature opened its wings and fluttered to the forest floor. In an instant the small dual bird headed furry creature grew to the size of a bear and made a loud guttural groan. With that Thomas turned back the way he came and ran. The creature, talons on all four legs, took after him. Thomas ran as fast as he could, but the groans only got louder behind him. He could now feel hot breath on his neck.
