***IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM AUGUST 2021: Septic tank Sam's identity has been confirmed as Gordon Edwin Sanderson of Edmonton, born in Manitoba in October of 1950. As a child in the 1960s, he was placed into foster care during what was called the "60s Scoop" when Aboriginal children were taken from their parents and put into the child welfare system. He was reported missing by his sister in the 1980s and had spent his life in trouble with the law and dealing with addiction. The last time anyone heard from him, he planned to visit his younger brother in Calgary, but never made it. His murder is still unsolved.
In recent years with advancements in science, some long-standing mysteries and unsolved crimes have been solved, but there are still many that perplexed investigators and left unanswered questions that still linger to this day. We all know about high profile cases like Jack the Ripper and Black Dahlia, but in this episode, we bring you five lesser-known cases that are just as intriguing and still remain unsolved to this day.
