There once was a old rundown barn, sitting deep in the woods quietly to do harm.
No one knew as to why it was there, except for a man who warned beware.
The story went back many centuries ago, of a woman who practiced witch craft to the world below.
She was known to be hideous inside and out, but that was to changed through the terrifying words she loudly shout.
On one very cold winter night, she cast a spell upon herself she knew would ignite.
She had a taste for human flesh, so the outcome for her spell was to be a success.
She painfully began to morph into many creatures, but one in particular she loved the features.
Satisfied with what she uttered in the mystical flame, a barn owl is the creature of what she became.
While exploring what all she can do, she knew she could capture her victims without having one a clue.
Many have fallen victim to her power, except for one who managed to escape before being devoured.
There was a man hiking deep in those woods before, unaware of his future he'd be shaken to his core.
He somehow got turned around lost in his track, but he continued to press on hoping to get back.
Hours went by dark was settling in, he knew he was in trouble judging by the hairs on his skin.
He found a stand alone barn he thought would be good to turn in for the night, planning to leave at the sight of first light.
He slowly opened the door to see if anything was inside, to his surprise nothing came out of hide.
Finding a spot near the door to rest by, he thought it would be okay to give it a try.
As he began to dose off into a deep sleep, he heard a loud sound that stood him on his feet.
Searching for the source of what made that sound, he noticed strange writings on the dirty ground.
As he continued to search the barn, he also noticed strange stick figures hanging from rugged yarn.
Realizing what he stumbled upon, the witch knew she had to make her move before he was gone.
She flew down from the top where she was watching him, and landed closer to be seen on the door trim.
As he started to calmly make his escape, the owl made a hoot and began to change shape.
The owl turned into the hideous woman right before his very eyes, suddenly he knew he would meet his demise.
Trying to get away before she got closer, he was able to grab a long sharp poker.
Backing up to keep her away, from the looks in her eyes he knew he was prey.
She began to chant different spells, and unaware he couldn't move his feet he was being compelled.
Suddenly fire appeared through the ground where the writings were found, standing directly over it he knew he was bound.
As she continued to get closer, her appearance became much more grosser.
With the creepy laugh she made, there was no doubt that he was extremely afraid.
Stepping through the fire ready to attack, holding the poker he told her to get back.
He took one big swing striking her in the head, he was able to make his escape thinking she was dead.
Running through the woods hoping to find help, he heard off into the distance the woman's loud screeching yelp.
Finally making it through the woods safe from harm, he made a promise to never go back to that creepy barn.
The witch continues to capture her prey, but she'll never forget the man who hiked through those woods and got away.
The End
