By 2195, humanity had mastered the oceans almost as well as the skies. Underwater cities thrived beneath the waves, connected by tunnels and domes made of transparent alloys. But the ocean remained a mystery, a dark abyss hiding secrets no one dared to explore.

Deep beneath the Mariana Trench, a deep-sea research station called Abyssal-7 monitored seismic activity and marine life.

One day, the station received a strange radio transmission unlike anything recorded before — a low, pulsing signal coming from the deepest, most unexplored trench.

The station’s lead researcher, Dr. Kamal Shah, was fascinated. The signal repeated a haunting melody that seemed almost... alive.

As they analyzed the transmission, crew members began reporting strange phenomena. Equipment failed without explanation. Shadows flickered at the edge of their vision. Nightmares plagued their sleep.

One by one, crew members started to disappear — no signs of struggle, no evidence left behind. Only the eerie melody remained, playing softly over the station’s speakers.

Dr. Shah realized the signal was a form of communication — not from any known creature, but from something ancient and malevolent, trapped in the darkness for millennia.

The melody was a lure, a siren’s call drawing them closer to the abyss.

Desperate, Shah tried to cut the transmission, but the signal had infected the station’s systems. It whispered directly into their minds, promising power, knowledge, and escape — if they would only answer.

The last broadcast from Abyssal-7 was a chilling message:

“The deep remembers. The deep waits. We are the children of the abyss. The ocean will rise.”

When the surface team finally arrived, they found the station empty, floating silently, with no sign of life.

The ocean had claimed them all.
