The Hooded Man Ritual

The Hooded Man Ritual is a dangerous paranormal game designed to summon a mysterious, shadowy figure known as the Hooded Man. By following specific steps and invoking this entity, participants are said to experience a strange journey into an alternate world, often referred to as "the Otherworld." This game is not for the faint of heart, and it is important to understand that playing it could result in unintended consequences.

The goal of the ritual is unclear—some believe it is a form of spiritual journey or contact with another dimension, while others warn that it could be a dangerous form of communication with malevolent forces. As with many paranormal games, there are serious risks involved, and failing to follow the rules can have disastrous outcomes.

What You Will Need:

Two Black Cords or Strings(These will be tied around your wrist during the ritual.), A Bathroom with a Mirror(You will need a bathroom with a mirror, where you will perform the first part of the ritual.), A Phone(A working phone is required to summon the Hooded Man. It must be an old-fashioned rotary phone or a landline phone—not a mobile phone.), A Watch or Clock, Salt, and a Quiet, Dark Room.

Rules:

The Hooded Man will communicate with you during the ritual, but do not speak to him unless directly addressed. Deviating from the steps of the ritual can lead to dangerous outcomes. Failing to close the ritual correctly can leave you vulnerable to spirits or malevolent entities.

Preparation:

The ritual should be performed at night, preferably after midnight, when there are no interruptions. You must complete the ritual by dawn. Before beginning, tie one black string around each of your wrists. This is symbolic of protection and binds you to the ritual. Ensure the knots are secure.

Part One: Preparing for the Journey

Enter the bathroom where there is a mirror. Stand in front of the mirror, and ensure that the lights are dim, but you can still see your reflection.

Turn on the faucet and let the water run. As the water runs, look into the mirror and focus on your reflection.

With your eyes locked on your reflection, say aloud: "I am prepared for the journey." You must say this three times, each time more softly, almost like a whisper.

After reciting the invocation, turn off the faucet, exit the bathroom, and leave the door slightly ajar. This represents leaving the "gateway" open for the Hooded Man.

Part Two: The Phone Call

Go to the dark, quiet room where you will continue the ritual. The room should be quiet, with minimal light. The phone should be placed on a table in front of you.

Using the landline or rotary phone, dial the following sequence slowly and clearly: 20496888 (Hang up the phone after the sequence is completed.)

Sit in silence and count to thirteen slowly. Keep your mind clear, and do not break concentration.

After counting to thirteen, pick up the phone and dial the same number: 20496888. This time, do not hang up immediately. Wait for a response.

You will not hear a voice on the other end of the phone, but you may sense or feel a change in the atmosphere. At this point, you will feel the Hooded Man’s presence enter the room.

Part Three: The Journey Begins

After dialing the number and waiting for the response, you will feel as though a car has arrived outside. The sensation of movement may follow. You are now on a "journey" in the Hooded Man’s car. Some describe the sensation of being in the backseat of a car, with the Hooded Man in the driver’s seat. Others claim to feel like they are traveling without knowing the destination.

No matter what you hear or sense, do not look outside the windows. The journey is said to take you into an alternate world, but gazing out could reveal disturbing things that may harm you.

The Hooded Man may ask you questions during this journey. You may only respond if he speaks directly to you. If you attempt to speak to him uninvited, the consequences can be severe, leading to a loss of control over the ritual or even trapping you in the Otherworld.

Part Four: Ending the Journey

When you feel the journey has gone on long enough or if you feel unsafe, you must end the ritual by whispering the following words: "I will return now." Repeat this phrase three times, again, each time softer than the last.

After saying the phrase, you will feel the movement stop, signaling the end of the journey. The Hooded Man may speak to you one last time, but do not engage with him beyond what is necessary.

Once the journey ends, hang up the phone immediately. The connection to the Hooded Man will be severed.

Part Five: Cleansing

After hanging up the phone, untie the black strings from your wrists. This represents severing the spiritual bond you created during the ritual. To protect yourself from any lingering energy, cleanse yourself with salt. Sprinkle a small amount of salt over your body, or, if possible, take a bath with salt to remove any negative energy. Return to the bathroom and close the door that was left ajar at the beginning of the ritual. This will close the gateway to the Otherworld and ensure the Hooded Man can no longer reach you.

After the Ritual:

Participants often report feelings of unease or strange occurrences in the days following the ritual. If this happens, perform additional cleansing rituals to protect yourself. Playing the Hooded Man Ritual multiple times can weaken your spiritual defenses, making it harder to sever the connection with the Otherworld.

The Hooded Man Ritual is a risky and mysterious game that can lead to a chilling journey into another realm. It’s important to follow the steps closely, respect the rules, and always prioritize your safety when dealing with forces beyond our understanding.

NOTE:

If you remain in the Hooded Man’s car for too long, you may become disoriented or trapped in the Otherworld. If you feel unsafe, end the ritual immediately. Although you are the primary participant, it is advised to have someone else in the house while performing the ritual for your safety. Stopping the ritual abruptly can leave you vulnerable to the Hooded Man or other spirits. Always follow the steps to properly end the journey and sever the connection.
