The Hollow Room

int. Old Farmhouse -

Rain lashes against the windows at night. The squealing farmers are quiet, except for the wind through the cracks. Three families are soaked and tense:

Sarah (32) - exhausted and overly cautious.

Mark (36) - Skeptical but supportive.

Lucy (8) - calm, sensitive, holding a rabbit in tattered fabric.

Gaze at the door at the edge of the hall. Looks younger than the rest of the house, smooth wood, silver handles. No lock.

Sarah

(to Mark, Whisper)

wasn't here yet. i swear.

Mark It's been an empty house for 20 years. Things get weird as you get older.

Lucy This room is hollow. The

mark is looking at it.

Mark

Lucy

The underground light explodes.

Sarah desperately spins the pile of newspaper clippings.

Sarah stands in the mirror and whispers.

int. Cavity - Dream Sequence: Sarah is back in her room. However, this time, it stretches infinitely. Each corridor has the same door.

It opens one - her own face is inside and writes.

She wakes up and snaps for the air.

Days

Sarah found a painting of Lucy. The photo shows a red XS house with the family. Sarah is approaching.

Lucy

int. Night - Closing Conflict: Sarah and Mark decide to burn the room. The mark will ring it with kerosene. Lucy looks out the stairs and holds her rabbit.

Lucy goes next to her.

Sara looks down. Lucy's eyes are...empty.

int. Living Room - Final Shot: New family in it. The boxes are everywhere.

Children go along the hallway.

Stop by the new door.
