The Haunted Apartment
Mary and her new haunted apartment. Can she survive?

Mary had always been a skeptic when it came to the paranormal. She was convinced that ghosts and demons were nothing but figments of the imagination. But that all changed when she moved into her new apartment.
At first, Mary thought nothing of the strange noises she heard in the middle of the night. She attributed them to the old pipes or creaky floorboards. But as time went on, the noises grew louder and more frequent. It wasn't long before Mary realized that something was very wrong.
One night, Mary was jolted awake by the sound of scratching coming from the wall beside her bed. At first, she thought it was a mouse, but as the scratching grew louder and more persistent, she knew that it was something else entirely.
She lay there in the darkness, paralyzed with fear as the scratching continued. It was like something was trying to claw its way out of the wall. Suddenly, there was a loud thud, and the scratching stopped.
Mary didn't sleep the rest of the night. The next morning, she called a handyman to come and inspect the walls. He poked around with his tools, but couldn't find anything out of the ordinary. He suggested that the noise might have been caused by a loose pipe.
But Mary knew better. She could feel it in her bones that something was living in her walls.
Over the next few weeks, Mary's apartment became a living nightmare. She would wake up to find her furniture rearranged, her clothes strewn about the room, and strange symbols etched onto the walls. She even started seeing strange apparitions out of the corner of her eye, darting across the room and disappearing just as quickly.
Mary knew she had to do something, but she didn't know where to turn. She couldn't exactly call the police and report a ghost. So, she turned to the internet for answers.
She spent countless hours reading about hauntings and demonic possessions, searching for a way to rid her apartment of whatever was tormenting her. She tried every remedy she could find, from burning sage to sprinkling salt around the edges of her room. But nothing seemed to work.
One night, as Mary lay in bed, she heard a voice whispering her name. She sat up in bed, heart racing, and looked around the room. It was empty. But then, she saw it. A dark figure standing in the corner of her room.
Mary froze, unable to move or speak. The figure began to move towards her, slowly but surely. As it got closer, Mary could see that it was not human. Its eyes were glowing red, and its skin was black as night.
She tried to scream, but no sound came out. The figure was now standing right beside her bed. Mary closed her eyes, praying for it to go away.
When she opened them again, the figure was gone. But Mary knew that it was still there, watching her from the shadows.
From that night on, Mary never slept in her apartment again. She packed up her things and moved out as quickly as she could. She never spoke of the experience to anyone, fearing that they would think she was crazy.
But Mary knew what she had seen, and she knew that there was something in that apartment that was not of this world. She hoped that whoever moved in after her would never have to experience the terror that she had endured.
