The Glitch

Are you familiar with what people call, Glitch in the Matrix? This is another way of explaining unexplainable experiences that we cannot even comprehend with our human minds. This theory was inspired by the movie, The Matrix.

A few years back, everything unexplainable will be tagged as paranormal. It’s when something out of the ordinary suddenly happens. We tend to blame ghosts or other paranormal entities.

Although there is something that looks more like a glitch. I know since I’ve seen them a lot in the past. Before, I thought that it was all paranormal. Then Glitch in the Matrix theory appeared. Here is one of my personal experiences with the glitch.

Transported

When I was in high school, I often walked a few miles from school to the tricycle station to go home. I have crossed the road multiple times since. I am often on the side of the road where the church is since that’s also where my school is located.

I have to cross from the church side of the road so that I can get a ride to my house. But when I was in junior high, something extraordinary happened. It should take about 30 seconds to cross that road. Although it feels longer than that.

As I was about to cross, I saw the road transformed into a vast field almost like in New Zealand. The grass has different colors from green to yellow. I can remember seeing a mountain from the view.

“Honk! Honk!” that was the truck honking at me. I then realized that I was standing in the middle of a busy road. A stranger helped me out to get to the other side. He asked me if I was feeling okay.

I nodded even if I was still confused about what just happened. The stranger told me that I just froze in the middle of the road. Until now, after 25 years have passed, I have no explanation of what just happened.

The Portal

This incident happened when I was in college. I have to stay in a dorm since it’s far from where I was originally from. Although, some of my classmates are also my dorm mates so I don't feel alone.

One weekend when everyone from the dorm went home to their provinces, I was left alone. I have a Saturday class and I don't normally go home that much like them.

It’s already night time and I took a shower first so I could sleep afterward. When I came out of the bathroom, I was surprised to see a bright door that looked like a portal.

I was shocked to see it in front of me. But I don't feel scared though. I didn't feel anything during that time. I just stared at it and thought what will happen if I just get in there?

“Bang!” I heard that sound inside my bathroom and saw that my dipper had fallen. I went there to pick it up and put it where it was hanging before.

Then I remembered that shiny door outside my bathroom, and I immediately went out. It was already gone and I missed my chance to find out what's on the other side.

I’ve decided to go home after that night. My grandma told me that she was happy to see me. She saw a shining circle at the top of her bedroom ceiling the same night I saw that shining door!

I told my cousins about it and they had a theory that both of those are portals and if I entered that portal from where I was, I would just fall from my grandma’s bedroom ceiling. However, I doubted that theory.


Seeing Myself

During the time that I had my first job, I rented a room near my workplace with my best friend. We’re roommates since we don't want to spend so much of our hard-earned money.

We went out to buy some groceries to stock up some food. Being young, we wasted our time exploring the mall and it was already dark when we went back home.

Since I had the key, I opened the lock from the door and just pushed the door wide open. Then I saw myself looking at me! She was sitting on my bed with the pillow and notebook in her lap and a pen in her hand.

I’m usually in that position since I like to write in my notebook in bed. “Look, it's you!” my roommate just told me and she went inside our room. I turned to her and asked what she just said and when I looked back to my bed, my doppelgänger was gone.

“It’s already gone since you’re already here.” my best friend just casually said to me. As if it’s just normal with her to see me in double. I don't even have a twin!

Final Note

That’s some of my experiences from the past that I can still remember. But wait, there's more! I think it’s best to save it for next time. For now, this is one of my paranormal encounters or others call it, a glitch in the matrix. Well, I guess we just have to keep on observing our surroundings. Do you have a glitch in the Matrix story?
