Cursed 'Neelkuthi' - The Story of a Terrible Palace
A palace called 'Neelkuthi' still stands in a remote village in Bengal. Many terrible stories are heard from the mouths of the villagers about this structure located in a dense forest. Some say it was the residence of a cursed landlord, some say murders were committed here in the name of indigo cultivation. However, the center of the story is one night, when a group of young researchers bravely entered the inner courtyard of this palace.
First Introduction - The Beginning of the Legend
This palace was built around 1871 during the British rule. The landlord Harinarayan Roy was a cruel indigo farmer. It is said that he used to torture the indigo farmers so mercilessly that many farmers committed suicide in front of this palace by cursing them. Since his death, various strange events have been happening in Neelkuthi.
Mysterious disappearances – one after another
In the last forty years, at least ten tourists have entered this hut and never returned. Even the police investigation has not been able to unravel any mystery. The villagers do not tread that path after evening. They believe that the spirit of the landlord still roams here, and he does not let anyone out easily.

Night Expedition – Spooky Discovery
In the early winter of 2023, five history students from Calcutta University went to the ‘Neelkuthi’ palace for research. One of them was Aniket, an avid horror blogger. They decided to stay in the palace for one night and document the events on video.
The strange incident began at 11 pm. Suddenly, the lights went out, the mobile network disappeared completely. The shadow of a woman appeared on the camera. A researcher named Arnab screamed loudly and fainted, and soon after, scratches appeared on his body—as if someone had scratched him with nails.
Old diary pages – evidence of a curse
In an old cupboard of the palace, they found a century-old diary. It belonged to the landlord’s wife. It read, “My husband has become a demon... He is bloodthirsty... He has sacrificed my children for his own power. I could not stop him... I committed suicide in this palace, but I know he did not die.”
The most terrifying thing happened after reading these texts.

Invisible Horror – Missing Aniket
3 am. The camera records show Aniket walking alone towards the old well. Then suddenly the camera turns off. And the next day the police come and find only four people. Aniket is missing.
Although his mobile phone is recovered, the videos inside are completely blurry, but in one, a woman's voice can be heard vaguely – "You can't go back..."
The end result – is the curse still alive?
So far, no trace of Aniket has been found. His family is still waiting. And the people of the village are starting to get more scared. Some say that the cursed spirit has found a new body, this time it will leave the blue house.
The palace is now completely locked. But every day at 3 am, someone stands behind the door and whispers – "I am still here..."
The Last Terror – A Promise to Return
A few months have passed since the mysterious incident in the Neelkuthi. Although there was a stir in the media for a few days, everything is gradually being suppressed. But some people in the village say that when the night falls, they can again see red eyes like fire in the palace window. Some have even heard the sound of footsteps, as if someone was walking in heavy boots across the empty palace.
Aniket's mother stands in front of the gate every day. She believes that her son will return one day. She says, "His appearance may change, but I will recognize him by looking at his eyes."
A few brave young men from the village once tried to enter the house at night, but as soon as they reached the door of the house, one of them suddenly fainted. When he regained consciousness later, he only said, "He has returned... this time no one will be saved..."
A letter - Is Aniket alive?
Exactly a year after the incident, an envelope arrived at a newspaper office in Kolkata, whose sender was Aniket Dutta. There was no address written on the envelope, just a small letter—
“I am still alive. But I am no longer me. He is inside me now. He is using me. No one should open the door of the blue house, otherwise this curse will spread throughout the country.”
The newspaper decided not to publish the letter, but the staff inside were all stunned. Many began to believe that Aniket might really be a prisoner of that ghostly force.
