The Curse of Ravenwood
What made the people of Ravenwood lock their doors for ages?
The sun had set on the sleepy town of Ravenwood, casting a foreboding shadow over the desolate streets. The townsfolk had long since retreated to their homes, locking their doors and windows tight, as they did every night. For Ravenwood was not just any town, it was cursed.
The curse had been inflicted upon Ravenwood over a century ago by a vengeful witch who had been burned at the stake by the townspeople. As she took her last breath, she swore to inflict her wrath upon the town and its people for all eternity. And so, the curse began.
Over the years, Ravenwood had seen its fair share of horrors. Children had gone missing, never to be seen again, and strange apparitions had been spotted wandering the streets at night. But the worst was yet to come.
It was a warm summer evening when the first victim was claimed. Sarah, a young mother of two, had been walking home from the grocery store when she heard a faint whisper in her ear. She turned around, but no one was there. As she continued walking, the whisper grew louder, and before she knew it, she was being dragged into the woods by an unseen force.
The townspeople searched the woods for days, but there was no sign of Sarah. Her disappearance sent shockwaves through Ravenwood, and it wasn't long before more people began to disappear. It seemed as though the curse was growing stronger.
It wasn't until a group of teenagers stumbled upon an old book in the library that the true nature of the curse was revealed. The book spoke of a demon that had been summoned by the witch, a demon that could possess the bodies of the living and use them to do its bidding.
The demon had been lying dormant for years, biding its time until the townspeople had let their guard down. And now, it had awoken.
The teenagers knew they had to act fast if they were to save Ravenwood from the demon's wrath. They sought out the help of a local priest, who had experience in exorcisms. Together, they began to perform a ritual to banish the demon back to the depths of hell.
But the demon was not going down without a fight. It possessed the bodies of the townspeople, turning them into mindless zombies that attacked anyone who got in their way. The teenagers and the priest fought bravely, but it seemed as though they were no match for the demon's power.
Just as all hope seemed lost, the sky began to turn a bright shade of pink. The sun was rising, and with it came a new day. The demon let out a deafening scream as it was banished back to hell, and the townspeople were freed from its grip.
But Ravenwood would never be the same. The curse had left its mark, and the memory of the horrors that had occurred would never fade. And so, the townspeople locked their doors and windows tight, praying that the curse would never return.
