The Closet Game Ritual

The Closet Game is a paranormal ritual that allows you to summon a demon by performing a simple yet dangerous sequence inside a dark closet. If done correctly, you may see the demon or at least feel its presence, but the game is notorious for its risks. Summoning a demon can lead to dangerous consequences, including haunting, possession, or worse.

It’s important to know that The Closet Game is not just a game—it’s a ritual that could permanently alter your life and home. Many warn against playing, but for those who dare, it can be a deeply terrifying experience.

What you will need for the ritual:

A Closet: The closet must be completely dark when the door is closed and large enough for you to stand in comfortably with the door closed.

Matches: The matches are what will protect you once the demon is summoned.

You Must Only Use One Match: If the match goes out, you may be at risk.

Never Turn Around: Facing the demon could have serious consequences.

Always End the Ritual Properly: Failing to close the ritual could leave the demon attached to your home or even yourself.

Preparation:

The ritual should be performed at night when the house is quiet and there is minimal interference. Midnight is considered an ideal time. Make sure the closet you choose can be completely dark when the door is closed. Any light from the outside will invalidate the ritual. You should not use any source of light except for the match during the game.

Playing the Game:

Step inside the closet with the match in your hand. Close the door behind you, ensuring that the room is in total darkness.

Stand still in the dark for at least two minutes. Use this time to gather your thoughts and focus. This silence prepares you for summoning the demon.

After the two minutes of silence, say the following phrase clearly and in a low voice: "Show me the light or leave me in darkness."

As soon as you finish saying the phrase, you must light the match without delay. This is the most critical moment of the ritual. The match serves as your protection, and it must be lit as quickly as possible.

If you are successful in lighting the match, hold it steady and make sure it stays lit. Do not let the match go out.

Encountering the Demon:

Once the match is lit, you may start to feel a presence behind you. It is essential that you do not turn around or attempt to look at whatever is behind you. Keep your back to the entity and remain still.

Some participants report hearing faint whispers or footsteps behind them. Others may feel cold air or the sensation of someone standing very close. No matter what happens, keep your eyes forward and your back to the presence.

Ending the Ritual:

Continue holding the match until it burns out completely on its own. Once the match burns out, it is safe to slowly open the closet door. Open the door and leave the closet immediately. Do not linger inside the closet after the match burns out.

After the Ritual:

After the ritual, your closet is no longer a normal space. It is said that opening the closet door in the dark could result in seeing glowing red eyes staring back at you. These eyes belong to the demon you summoned, and looking directly at them could be dangerous. Some people report feeling haunted or having nightmares if they sleep near the closet where the ritual took place. It is advised to sleep in a different room or avoid the closet entirely, especially at night.

NOTE:

If the match goes out before you open the closet door, the demon will have full access to your space. This could result in a haunting or worse. Make sure the match is lit fully and burns for as long as possible.

Attempting the ritual more than once can weaken the barrier between your world and the demon’s, increasing the risk of permanent attachment or harm. Repeating the ritual or playing it multiple times can attract malevolent entities to your home, leading to long-term hauntings or attachments.

Even after ending the ritual, some participants have reported strange occurrences like items moving in their home, unexplained cold spots, or the feeling of being watched. If you notice any unusual activity, it’s recommended to cleanse your home with sage or salt.

If the ritual is successful, you will feel the presence of the demon, but you will remain unharmed if you follow the rules carefully. Some players report feeling the demon’s breath on their neck or hearing faint whispers. The presence may linger for a short time but will eventually leave if the ritual is closed properly.

If you fail to light the match in time or accidentally turn around to face the demon, the consequences can be severe. Players have reported experiencing long-term hauntings, possessions, and other terrifying phenomena as a result of failing the ritual.

After the ritual, it’s advised to cleanse the closet and surrounding area with salt or burning sage. This helps ensure that no lingering energy from the demon remains in your home.

The Closet Game is one of the more dangerous paranormal rituals, summoning a demon into your home. While the game itself is simple, the consequences of failure are grave. If you choose to play, remember that it’s not just a game—it’s a serious ritual that could have lasting effects on your home and your life. Proceed with extreme caution, and if you feel uncertain at any point, it's best not to play at all.
