The Cabin in the Woods

The Cabin in the Woods

By Muhammad AtifPublished 3 years ago 3 min read

It was supposed to be a relaxing weekend getaway. A chance to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and spend some time in the peace and quiet of the countryside. But as soon as they arrived at the cabin in the woods, they knew that something was not right.

The cabin was old and run-down, the paint peeling off the walls and the windows cracked and broken. Inside, there were cobwebs and dust everywhere, and the furniture was old and worn. But worst of all was the feeling that hung in the air – a sense of unease and foreboding that made their skin crawl.

At first, they tried to ignore it. They unpacked their bags and settled in, hoping that the feeling would pass. But as night fell, things began to get even stranger. They heard strange noises coming from outside, and the windows rattled in their frames. And then, they heard footsteps on the porch.

As the door creaked open, the group of friends huddled together in fear, unsure of what to expect. They had come to the abandoned house on a dare, thinking it would be a fun way to spend their Halloween night. But as the footsteps grew closer and the door began to move, they realized they had made a grave mistake. The first thing they saw was a pair of glowing eyes, piercing through the darkness of the room. The figure stood in the doorway, barely visible in the dim light of the moon. But they could feel its presence, a cold and malevolent energy that made their skin crawl. For a moment, nobody moved. They were frozen in terror, their eyes locked onto the shadowy figure in the doorway. And then, with a sudden movement, it stepped forward into the room.

In the darkness, they could make out the figure of a man, silhouetted against the moonlight. He was tall and thin, with a pale face and dark, sunken eyes. He stepped into the cabin and closed the door behind him, and the air grew thick with fear and tension.

The man said nothing, but his presence was suffocating. They could feel his eyes on them, and they knew that he was watching their every move. They tried to speak, to ask him who he was and what he wanted, but their voices caught in their throats.

For what felt like an eternity, they sat there in silence, trapped in the cabin with this strange and terrifying man. And then, without warning, he turned and walked back out into the night, leaving them alone once again.

They tried to make sense of what had just happened, but they couldn't shake the feeling that they were not alone in the woods. Every sound and movement made them jump, and the sense of unease only grew stronger with each passing moment.

As the night wore on, they heard strange whispers and voices coming from the woods outside. They could make out the shapes of figures moving in the darkness, and they knew that they were being watched.

They tried to leave, but the door was stuck fast, and they couldn't get it open. They were trapped in the cabin, with no way out and no way to call for help. As the dawn approached, they heard the sound of a car pulling up outside, and they knew that they had been saved.

But as they stepped out into the light, they realized that things were not over yet. The man from the night before was waiting for them, his dark eyes gleaming in the morning sun. And as they looked closer, they realized that he was not alone. There were others with him, watching them with cold and empty eyes.

They ran, as fast as they could, through the woods and back to civilization. They never spoke of the cabin in the woods again, but the memory of that night would haunt them forever. And they knew that they had been lucky to escape with their lives.
