The Bus Of Mossville

Episode I (The Retirement Party)

It was going to be a long day for Detective Mike Landley, a fifteen year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department, he has been working on a missing child's case and he just spent all night following up on a lead on the case, its a department that he has ran for the Los Angeles Police department for the last ten years of his career.

Most of Mike's cases didn't didn't close but went to cold cases so he would be working on these cases for months to years, and this case was no different the lead he was following up on didn't go anywhere , Mike had wished that he would of came up with something for the parents, but it will be his last case ,and for Mike just one more case unsolved. The only reason this case was going to be this last case because he was retiring this year. Him and his family will be moving to a place called Mossville, Illinois, he is hoping the new job will not be so stressful and have to do with any missing children.

Mike was driving back to the police department, after telling the parents of the missing child that the lead that he was following up did not lead to anything and that the case would be handed over to the new lead detective on the case and that detective will get with them if there is any new developments within the case.

Mike finally arrives at the police station, he gets out of his car grabs some papers and walks into the front doors of the police station just as he entered a uniformed female police officer comes up to him and hands him a note from the captain for him to meet in the briefing room, he is looking at the note wondering why the captain wanted him in the briefing room as he walked in the briefing room the captain came up to him and began shaking his hand as bunch uniformed police and detectives came out an,d yelled surprise , besides the whole police department being there he sees his wife India and daughter Sierra also. It seems that they were throwing him his retirement party.

After the retirement party in the briefing room Mike gave his wife India and daughter Sierra a kiss goodbye, as watched his wife and daughter walk out of the police station he headed to his desk grabbed the files on the missing child then went to the Captains office and knocked on the door. The captain yelled, " come in", Mike proceeds in to the Captains office Mike puts the files down on the Captains desk and said, " here is those files on he missing child all ready for the new detective to take over," the captain thanks him and Mike walks out of the captains office shutting the door and heads out of the police station to his car.

Later that night Mike was sleeping next to his wife India, he was tossing and turning, he was dreaming and in is dream, there was a figure standing in front of him then the figure started coming towards him, as the figure was getting closer he notices that it is a female child, the then realizes when the figure comes closer that it is the child that he was getting information on, she comes closer to him then says," why didn't you find me.

Mike looks at her and tells her,"I'm retired now and I gave your case to other detectives and they will find your now", at first it looked like she was going to turn and walk away, but she just stood there, Mike reached out to touch her shoulder, he looked around to see other children appearing, some he recognized some he didn't. Not paying attention the girl looked back at him catching him off card and lunges at him letting a curdling scream, which made Mike covers his ears, then all the other children yelled out, "why didn't you find us and then also lunged at him covering his body all of giving the curdling screams like the other girl. Mike then wakes up screaming, sweat is dripping from his for forehead.

He looks over at his wife India the nightmare didn't wake her up, so Mike slowly gets out of the bed so not still wake her up and walks into the bathroom and turns on the light walks over to the sink an runs the water to wash his face, he makes his hands into a cup, he then puts his face down to wash his face then grabs a towel and dries off his face. After washing his face he walks down the hallway to his daughters bedroom opens the door and checks on her to see if she is alright, he then walks back into his bedroom and carefully gets back into bed, still not waking up his wife,then falls back to sleep.

The next morning Mike and India had got up and began packing for their trip to Mossville, Illinois were Mike will be starting his new job as Sheriff of the town, when India looks at Mike she says, " Looks, like you haven't slept very well." Mike finishes packing his bag then looks at her and says, "I had a bad nightmare last night , so I didn't sleep very well at all." India leans over and gives him a kiss then tells him," I will drive first so you can get some sleep OK!" Mike agrees he hands her the keys, then they both grab their bags and walk out of their bedroom as they did their daughter Sierra met up with them and they all went downstairs together to the minivan, put their bags in the back of the minivan, they all get in the minivan and Drive off.

After Driving for awhile India wakes up Mike, as he opens his eyes he asks" where are we ?", she says, " we have been driving about four hours I believe we are in Paradise Nevada, lets find a Motel and a place to eat." She turns off on the next exit with a sign saying lodging and food. They find a Motel and restaurant, as they all get out of the minivan, Mike tells India ," I will go get us some rooms while you go get seats at the restaurant." India and Sierra head to the restaurant while Mike heads to the lobby of the Motel, as Mike was walking over to the lobby he sees whats seems to be a little girl hunched down by a car, he walks up to her and asks " are you okay little girl where is your mom and dad?" The girl slowly turns around when she does Mike recognizes her has the girl in his dream startled he falls back on the ground the girl comes towards him chanting " you should of found me, you should of found me!" over and over again when she gets closer she lets out a blood curdling scream Mike covers his face, a car pulls in he uncovers his face and she was gone.

Mike dusts himself off and looks around to see if anybody was looking, he then goes into he lobby of the motel and gets two rooms, he gets the keys then heads over to the restaurant and sits down at the table where India and Sierra was sitting. India could see that something was bothering him, Sierra got out of the booth to go to the bathroom, India leans over and asks, " are you OK?" Mike looks at her and says, " I will tell you when we get to the room." Sierra comes back and begin eating , as well as Mike and India.

After eating Mike, India, and Sierra head over the motel Mike gives Sierra her key and tells her, " have a good nights sleep dear, set your alarm for 10 a.m., we want to get out of here as soon as we cans we still have a long way to go." Mike and India enter the room, put there keys and stuff on the table next to the door. India looks at Mike and asks him to come sit down on the bed, she says, " now tell me what happened?" He responds " as I was walking over to the motel lobby, I had seen a girl hunched down I went over to her to ask if she was alright and it was that girl in my dream one of the missing children." India looks at him then hugs him, then says," Maybe a nice hot shower will help and a good nights sleep you go first."

Later that night while sleeping Mike begins tossing and turning again, dreaming of the missing children again, but this time his tossing and turning woke up India she turns towards him and then wakes him up, sweating Mike sits up in the bed, India rubs his chest says, "your having that dream again ?", he shakes his head yes. India moves behind him and tells him, "let me relax you let me rub your shoulders," as she begins to rub his shoulders,for him starts feeling so good for Mike he closes his eyes as she continues rubbing his shoulders, then Mikes grabs India's arm and brings her to the side of him he kisses her on the lips then begins gently kissing her neck, she closes her eyes and leans her head back as he continues, he then begins undressing her, then begins gently kissing down her body, carefully laying her back on the bed, as he continues she moans with pleasure, he moves down her body to her stomach kissing, she arches her back in pleasure. He then begins to kiss her legs , she begins to even moan more.

Meanwhile, in Sierra's room she wasn't able to sleep, so she gets out of bed and goes into the bathroom and begins to run the water for a shower, she walks over near the sink and begins to takes off her sweats and t-shirt then bra and panties, she then walks over and checks to see if the water is warm, it was so she gets in and pulls the shower curtain closed and begins her shower, as she begins to wash her body the lights begin to flicker, then the light goes off leaving Sierra in the dark, she stops washing her body she opens the shower curtain to see if there was enough light to try to get her towel and go into the room with the bed. She sees that the light is still on by her bed she grabs her towel and wraps it around her as she begins to get out of the shower a dark figure starts to form behind her as it becomes more clear the figure was of the missing girl that Mike kept seeing, it was reaching out to touch Sierra just as it was about to touch her shoulder, the lights in the bathroom come back on. Instead of Sierra going back out to her bed she went back into the shower and finished her shower.

Back in Mikes and India's room we see India and Mike both naked continuing to make love , the lights began to flicker just like in Sierra's bathroom, but with Mike and India being intimate they both had there eyes closed and didn't see the flicker of the lights and also they didn't see the images of the missing children coming towards them, as they finished with what they were doing and fall to the bed exhausted next to each other the lights quit flickering and the images of the missing children once again disappear.

The next morning Mike, India and Sierra all met out in front of their rooms all packed up and got into the minivan, they began to drive as they were driving Sierra asked Mike and India if they had the same problem with there lights as she did in her room. Mike and India look at each other and smile a bit and asked Sierra what she meant, Sierra explained that while she was taking a shower that the lights flickered and then went off in her bathroom. Mike and India looked at each other and had told Sierra they didn't seem to notice if anything happened like that. Sierra satisfied with there answer put some music on with her I-pod and then put her ear buds in ear then as they continue on driving.

After driving for a long while, Sierra was sleeping in the back, India was reading a book, as they pass a sign that said Mossville thirty miles, Mike reaches over and lightly touches India shoulder to show her the sign they both look at each other and smile, India had turned to see if Sierra had seen the sign but she was sleeping so India had turned back in her seat and started reading again.

As they continue driving in the back Sierra was beginning to have a bad dream, she was dreaming of walking to the bus stop so she could catch the bus to go to school, when she reached the bus stop she had not seen any other kids waiting for the bus, she didn't think much about it, maybe they were late and she was early she sat down on the bench to wait for the bus and hopefully more kids. After waiting a few minutes she had noticed no other kids were showing, just then a bus was pulling up, this bus didn't look like any ordinary bus as it stopped, Sierra stood up to get on but as she did the bus doors opened up and blinding blue light came out of the doors blinding her for a little bit ,as her eyes cleared from the blinding light a dark figure comes towards her and grabs her she screams as this dark figure drags her into the bus, this startled her and she woke up. Mike still driving and India still reading her book did not see what happened, Sierra sweating a little bit laid back in her seat and continued listening to music not telling her parents what happened.

After a long drive Mike, India, and Sierra reach there destination driving by a sign that said, "Welcome to Mossville Illinois ", driving a little bit more up the road they see a street called Hill Creek Drive, this is the street they needed to turn on to, they turned on to the street. In the back seat Sierra is still dreaming but this time she was dreaming that she was inside some type of bubble with tubes in her arms, and the room she was in was dark , then she heard some clicking sounds, as she was looking around to see what the clicking was a sharp silver object came towards her, It startles her enough to wake her from her sleep, just as this had happened they pull up to a black gate Mike and India told Sierra," we are hear sleepy head," Sierra sits up then Mike, India and Sierra all get out of the minivan and walk in front to the gate they see and old Victorian style house, it looked like it has not been lived for a very long time.

Mike grabs an envelope with a real estate companies logo on it, inside was two keys one to open the gate and one to open the front door of the house, Mike uses the key to open the gate and opens one side, Him, India and Sierra start heading up to the house, they reach the front door of the house and Mike opens up the door and tells India and Sierra go inside and check the house out while he goes and get the car and starts unpacking the stuff in the minivan. Mike goes back down the driveway, he opens the other side of the gate then gets into the minivan and drives it up to the front of the house, he then gets out walks towards the back of the minivan opens up the back and begins unpacking the stuff.

India and Sierra enter the house, Sierra starts by heading us the stairs to check out where her bedroom was going to be, India heads to the living room where she sees a large beautiful red couch with lacquered brown arm rests, and nice antique lamps, she then heads to what she believes is the kitchen, meanwhile Sierra reaches the top of the stairway and sees a dark hall way she walks to the beginning of the hallway and turns on the light, when light flickers on she notices several doors running down the hallway, she starts to walk down the hallway opening each door to see what is inside, has she reaches the last door and opens it up and image of the missing girl reaches out to touch her but then disappears as Sierra turns on the light.

Meanwhile downstairs Mike was finishing bringing in the luggage as he is bringing it into the living room he notices his wife India in the kitchen, he puts the luggage down he had in his hands down, and carefully sneaks into the kitchen where she was and quietly gets behind her and grabs her, which startles her she turns around towards him and says "shit mike you scared me!" They both laugh and hug each and a begin kissing. Back upstairs Sierra was done looking at the rooms she begins back downstairs.

After a long night of unpacking and getting settle in the house, Mike, India and Sierra finally wind down, the pizza had just arrived and they all sat down at the table and ate there dinner , after they were done they all went to bed for the night, as Mike and India were going into the room that they had chosen for themselves, Mike tells India that he will be going to the sheriff's department to check out things.
