As soon as she unlocked the door, a musty smell hit Sudeepa's nose. It wasn't unusual for this old house to smell like this on a rainy day, Sudeepa herself was used to this smell; but still, today, her senses were somehow confused. She somehow pushed her soaking wet body into the bathroom. She stood up from the shower and fell down, her body shaking and trembling. The shower water was pouring down her face in a continuous stream, this is a hilly area, water is used very sparingly here, but Sudeepa didn't care about that today. So, will the police really be looking for Deepta? As soon as they heard everything, they said that he was somehow rolling in the ditch! Will Sudeepa tell everything at home now or wait for morning!

There was no electricity, while groping around in search of a candle with her wet body, Sudeepa suddenly noticed that the outer door was wide open. She was shocked, didn't she lock the door after entering? She couldn't remember anything. As she walked towards it, she stumbled, who was sitting in the room! Even though it was dark, her figure was clear. Sudeepa shouted in a panicked voice, "Who...? Who's there? Kaushik?"

"You were expecting Kaushik Babu, I guess?"

"K...who?"

"You recognized me, Su, I'm your Deepta."

"Di... Deepta?" As much as Sudeepa was scared by the fear of the unknown stranger, she was even more scared by the familiar voice.

"Why did you leave me there, Su? You don't know how much I'm afraid of the rain!"

Sudeepa knew how much Deepta was afraid of the rain, seven years ago on a terrible rainy day, a tree branch fell on the man and he was paralyzed for the rest of his life. Deepta was pushing the wheelchair towards her, Sudipta's throat was going dry. Deepta came and hugged her with both arms; her wet body shivered at the cold touch, “You… what happened to you, Deepta?”

“They brought me…” Deepta's voice sounded so faint

“Who!”

“Can you see them around?”

“No… who are you talking about?”

“Those who live in the darkness, in the darkness you left me in today.”

“Deepta…!” Sudipta shouted.

“I can't live without you for a moment, Su, where did you think you would escape by escaping me?”

“No… no…” Sudipta tried to escape from Deepta's arms, but she couldn't move a single hair. She could clearly feel two hands coming out of the ground and hugging her legs, shadows were floating around the room, Sudeepa could feel the presence of an incorporeal presence all over her body… They were playing a demonic game, Deepta had joined them.

Nooooo…. Sudeepa screamed; the sound of the rain drowned out her screams, there was no escape…
