Temptation
Genesis 4:7

There was only one rule: don’t open the door. I’ve never been so tempted to break a rule in my life. I’ve been watching her every night for months now. This ain’t my first guard detail, but it's my favorite by far. How could it not be?
I swear she never sleeps, at least not while I’m watching—and I’d know because the bank of screens in front of me shows me literally every possible angle. If they had told me I would be paid to watch a bombshell like her shower, I wouldn't have hesitated like I did to sign up.
I watch her turn off the water. She begins to dry herself. I still can’t believe this is my life. But then she looks right at me. She’s never done that before. My heart begins to race. It’s not like the cameras are hard to see, but still. She never breaks eye contact once as she slips her bathrobe on and ties the belt. I can’t look away.
“They'll never find out, you know.” She whispers and I’m sure I can feel her breath through the headphones.
She’s right. It wouldn’t be hard. No one ever checks my feed. All I'd have to do is click the pause button. “It won’t take long, I promise.” Her voice is warm and sensual, too seductive to resist. I click the icon.
I’m almost running by the time I get there. My heart is racing even faster. The door is transparent and she lets her robe drop. I fumble the keycard onto the reader. The instant the door slides open, she’s on top of me. I feel her teeth on my neck. The last thing I remember is the sound of her ecstasy as she drinks my life away.
