Introduction

Beginning of the story
It is the year 2018. There is a small village in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh – Shangri. The people here live a simple life, but a forest near the village is known as "Kala Van". People say that a spirit lives in this forest – "Vandevi ki Rooh". No one goes towards that forest after sunset.

A young man named Rahul, who had come from Delhi, considered these things to be just stories of the villagers. He was a vlogger and used to go to mysterious places and make videos. He got excited after hearing about this forest.

Journey to the forest

One day Rahul picked up the camera and set out towards the Black Forest. The villagers tried to stop him but Rahul did not listen to anyone. He started video recording before going inside the forest.

In the beginning everything was normal – bird sounds, cool breeze, and greenery. But as he went deeper, the environment started changing. The bird sounds stopped, the air became heavy, and there was a strange silence all around.

Mysterious sounds

After about half an hour, Rahul felt that someone was following him. He stopped and looked back – there was no one. But when he looked at the video camera, a blurred female figure appeared on the screen. Despite the fear, he kept moving forward.

A few minutes later he heard the sound of a woman crying. He went in the direction of that sound and there he saw a woman wrapped in a white saree, sitting under a tree. Rahul asked her, “What are you doing here?” But the woman did not say anything, she just kept crying.

As Rahul tried to see her face, the woman stood up. Her face was half-burnt and her eyes were blood red. Rahul panicked and started running, but the path seemed to have changed. He kept reaching the same spot where the woman was standing.
Now the spirit started laughing – a terrifying, echoing laughter that spread across the forest. Rahul started shouting, “Someone is there! Help me!” But the sounds just came back and echoed in his ears.

The vlogger vanished
The next day, news spread in the village that Rahul had not returned. The villagers informed the police, and a search operation was launched. Two days later, his camera was found broken under a tree, but there was no trace of Rahul.

Everyone was stunned to see the video that was found in the camera – the woman was clearly visible in the video, but as soon as she looked towards the camera, the video got disturbed. Finally, the camera falls down and a scream is heard in it.

The Truth of the Black Forest

According to the elders, years ago a woman – Karuna – came to this forest to roam with her husband. Her husband cheated on her and left her in the forest. Karuna committed suicide after staying hungry and thirsty for many days. It is believed that her soul is still wandering in the forest and whoever disturbs her soul in this forest does not return.

Even today there is fear in the village about the Black Forest. No one goes there after the sun sets. For those who knew Rahul, he has become a lesson – tampering with the secrets hidden in the lap of nature can prove to be costly.
