silent love

in a small town nestled in dense forests and rolling hills, there lived a reclusive young man named daniel. daniel was an introvert who spent most of his time making digital art, gaming and listening to music. he was content with his solitary life until one day, he met an older woman with a mysterious lore named mia.

mia was unlike any woman daniel had ever met. she was quiet and reserved, just like him, but something about her drew him in. she had an air of mystery and misery that he found intriguing, he wanted to know more about her inner workings.

they met one day at the local library, where daniel had gone to borrow some books. mia was sitting alone in a corner, reading a book, when daniel noticed her. he couldn't take his eyes off her, and before he knew it, he was standing next to her, striking up a conversation, something he wouldn’t normally do.

mia was hesitant at first, but daniel's friendly demeanour put her at ease. they talked for hours about everything from art to their favourite books to their shared love of nature. daniel found himself opening up to her in a way he had never done before, and mia listened with rapt attention.

as months went by, daniel and mia grew closer. they went on long walks in the woods, enjoying the peace and quiet of nature. they watched movies together, snuggled on the couch, and talked for hours, even though he would’ve been fine just being with her in silence. daniel felt like he had finally found someone who understood him, someone he could be himself around.

but as much as daniel loved mia, he couldn't shake the feeling that there was something she wasn't telling him. she always seemed to hold back, to keep a part of herself hidden from him. he didn't know what it was, but it made him uneasy.

one day, mia invited daniel to her house. he eagerly accepted, eager to spend more time in her presence. but as he entered her home, he felt a chill run down his spine, taking him from perfectly fine to borderline cautious. there was something off about the place, something that he couldn't quite put his finger on.

mia led him to the living room, where they sat down to talk. as they chatted, daniel couldn't help but notice the strange artifacts that littered the room. there were strange crystals, weird paintings, and odd books that looked ancient.

suddenly, mia got up and left the room. daniel heard strange noises coming from the other room, and he felt a growing sense of unease. as he got up to investigate, he saw a strange figure lurking in the shadows.

daniel, confused, stared directly at the strange figure till it emerged from the shadows, and daniel saw that it was mia. but it wasn't the mia he knew. her eyes glowed with an otherworldly light, and her skin had turned a sickly dark shade of blue he had never seen before.

an average person would’ve screamed, but daniel was intrigued even more his words were caught in his throat. he felt a cold hand on his shoulder, and he knew he was doomed.
