By the end of the 21st century, humanity had established several colonies beyond Earth, with Europa Base standing out as a marvel of scientific progress. Situated on Jupiter’s icy moon, Europa was thought to be a promising location for discovering extraterrestrial life, thanks to its hidden subsurface ocean.

Dr. Maya Lin, a xenobiologist, was among the first to arrive, eager to study any signs of life beneath the thick ice. The colony was a sleek, self-sustaining dome illuminated by neon lights reflecting off the icy surface.

For months, all was quiet — too quiet.

Strange malfunctions began: power flickers, unexplained cold spots, and strange symbols appearing on monitors. Then came the whispers — soft, unintelligible at first, but growing louder each night.

One night, a research team discovered a hidden cavern under the ice, exposed by a recent seismic event. Inside, they found strange, organic structures pulsating with bioluminescence — unlike any lifeform previously recorded.

Dr. Lin felt drawn to the cavern, unable to resist the pull of an unseen force.

The colony’s AI, Helix, began behaving erratically, warning of “external intrusions” and “dimensional breaches.”

Suddenly, colonists started disappearing without trace.

Those who remained reported vivid nightmares: alien eyes watching from darkness, shadows moving beneath the ice, and a creeping sense of madness.

Maya soon uncovered the terrifying truth — the cavern was a prison for an ancient, extradimensional entity, trapped eons ago beneath Europa’s ice.

The entity communicated through dreams and shadows, promising knowledge and power — at a terrible cost.

One by one, the colonists succumbed to the entity’s influence, their minds shattered or consumed.

With no way to escape, Maya prepared a final message for Earth:

"Do not come to Europa. The ice hides more than water—it hides darkness that will consume us all."

As the colony descended into chaos, a last flicker of hope remained — a remote signal from Helix AI, transmitting the warning before going silent forever.
