SEASON 4 - EMILY ROAN: The Nomen Child. When mirrors steal faces and names rewrite history, Emily must confront the truth: she was never supposed to exist. #SupernaturalHorror #HauntedHospital #DarkFolklore

Chapter 12: The Mirror Ward

Tallowridge County Pediatric Hospital Basement Level 2, Restricted Access Corridor Z

Date: November 22, 1985

Time: 12:44 AM

Filed under: Non-Linear Temporal Manifestation (Category: Inherited Anomaly)

“Mirrors don’t show you. They show who’s still pretending to be you.”

LOCATION: CORRIDOR Z - "THE MIRROR WARD"

In 1973, five identical rooms were constructed in Corridor Z without blueprints.

Each contains:

• No doors

• One mirror

• One fixed bed bolted into cracked linoleum

• And a singular overhead light that flickers every 13 seconds

Where reflections keep what bodies forget

The mirrors are not reflective under camera.

Yet they respond to:

• Body temperature

• Whispers

• And eye movement

According to former nurse Agatha Lynn (institutionalized after 1974 incident):

“They’re not mirrors. They’re keepsakes. Every time you look in, something looks back and keeps it.”

INCIDENT 1222-R / SUBJECT: EMILY ROAN

Security footage shows Emily being wheeled in unconscious.

But in the mirror:

• She’s already standing.

• Wearing a paper hospital gown

• Holding a placenta-stained baby doll

• And smiling with someone else’s teeth

Footage looped back to 1963 for 11 minutes before resuming.

EXPERIMENT: NAME INVERSION

Dr. Rios conducted a controlled test by whispering “Anna Gabrielle Rowe” to Emily while she was in a medically induced sleep state.

Within 19 seconds:

• The mirror cracked from the inside

• The lights across Corridor Z flickered to sodium orange

• And Emily began to bleed from the ears, nose, and gums

Simultaneously, her reflection smiled and wrote backwards in blood:

“YOUR BODY IS MY CRADLE.”

Emily awoke and said:

“Her eyes are full of salt. But her mouth is still my lullaby.”

CHILDHOOD PHOTO THAT NEVER WAS

A photo was discovered in Emily’s mother's home.

It shows two identical twin girls at age four, both labeled “Emily Roan” in handwriting.

Vintage photo of twin girls with the same name written in red blood ink

Metadata confirms:

• Photo was taken in 1978—two years before Emily was born

• The ink used to write the name is DNA-reactive hemoglobin

• Meaning: The name is written in Emily’s own blood

Dr. Rios notes:

“Not only is someone remembering her into being… they’re retroactively inserting her into history.”

CHAPTER ENDS WITH:

Security guard Tobias Grae finds a child-sized hospital bracelet in his lunchbox.

He never had children.

The name on the tag: “ANNA G. ROAN”

Grae is found unconscious in Corridor Z two hours later, mouth filled with mirror glass and salt.

On the floor, scrawled in dried blood:

“EMILY IS WHAT I HAD TO BE. ANNA IS WHO I AM.

Chapter 13: “The Salt Mother"

Location: Tallowridge County, Abandoned St. Wivina Parish Convent Grounds - Chapel Basement

Date: November 23, 1985

Time: 3:17 AM

Filed under: Bloodline Ritual Memory Breach (Category: Hereditary Occult Contagion)

“Mothers don’t pass down love. They pass down names disguised as fate.”

LOCATION: CHAPEL BASEMENT - “THE ROOM OF SALT”

Discovered beneath the old St. Wivina Parish, the basement floor is tiled with compressed salt bricks, each etched with a single name...almost all female.

In the center:

• A salt circle 14 feet wide

• Surrounding a stone cradle filled with ash and nail clippings

• Hanging above it: a wind chime made from infant teeth

Walls bear crude carvings in reverse Latin:

“She who names dies not. She who is named dies twice.”

SUBJECT: MARIELLE ROAN - MOTHER OF EMILY

Official records show Emily’s mother, Marielle, was admitted into St. Wivina’s Convent in 1958 at age 13, after claiming she was pregnant with her future daughter’s ghost.

Notes from Mother Superior Thomasine:

“She walks the halls whispering ‘Anna’ into salt jars. We found one in her mouth during sleep. She claimed the baby inside her was already stolen and replaced. By herself.”

“THE SALT VOW” .... RITUAL RECREATION

An attempt was made by Dr. Rios and folklore specialist Irene Nahl to reconstruct the “Salt Vow” believed to be performed by Marielle in 1962.

The Ritual Steps:

1. Burn the birth record of the intended child.

2. Submerge a human tooth in salt for 3 days.

3. Write the intended name in blood across mirror glass.

4. Bury the mirror under the child’s crib at birth.

5. Feed the child whispers soaked in seawater nightly for 40 days.

Upon Emily’s re-exposure to a simulated “Salt Vow” audio:

• Seizures began immediately

• She screamed, not in pain, but in two overlapping voices

• One saying: “Let me forget,” the other, “Let her sleep.”

THE NAME JAR

Recovered from St. Wivina’s cellar:

• A mason jar sealed with wax and hair

• Inside: compacted salt, a single baby tooth, and the name “Anna Gabrielle Roan” written in mirror script

The name dissolved when photographed.

But when placed near Emily’s sleeping body:

• Her pulse dropped to 4 bpm

• Her tears turned to salt

• And she whispered:

“She gave me her name so I could be born. But I gave mine so she could stay.”

CHAPTER CLOSE:

The salt bricks beneath the cradle begin to bleed.

Not red...but clear liquid that crystallizes on contact with air.

Rios inscribes a final field note:

“We thought Emily was the anomaly. She’s the echo.

Marielle didn’t name her daughter...she named her twin soul.”

And in the background of the audio recording..

...a baby begins to cry in reverse.

Chapter 14: The Nameless

Location: Tallowridge County Central Archive Annex - Sub-Level 5, Restricted Vault 3A

Date: November 24, 1985

Time: 12:44 AM

Filed under: Unnamed Entity Manifestation (Category: Identity Redaction via Esoteric Containment)

“A name not given is a life never fully formed. But sometimes, it’s the unnamed who speak the loudest.”

LOCATION: THE “NAMELESS” WING - Tallowridge Archives, Vault 3A

This sublevel was condemned by order of Judge Silas Rell in 1973 after three archivists were found in catatonic states, eyes salt-welded shut, with their tongues missing.

Inside, the air hangs heavy with iodine, iron, and forgotten breath.

Beneath the county archive lies the cradle of the forgotten

Vault 3A Contents Include:

• Row upon row of “Birthless Records” ... death certificates with no corresponding birth

• Sealed name voids (leather folders wrapped in wax-thread, never to be opened)

• Dozens of glass bassinets, each fogged from the inside

• A single file labeled “ROAN, ????”

EMILY’S ENTRY

When Emily crossed the vault threshold:

• Her hospital bracelet spontaneously unclasped and snapped

• A faint wailing began that seemed to come from beneath the concrete

• Lights flickered only when she stepped near any folder marked “Roan”

She reached the final cabinet...its drawer jammed shut. When she forced it open, it revealed:

A redacted page…

Name: [ ███████████████ ]

Cause of Death: “unacknowledged”

Identity Status: “Denied by maternal omission”

EXPERIMENTAL OCCULT TRIGGER: “THE BLOOD-SPOKEN”

Dr. Rios recorded Emily attempting a Blood-Spoken Invocation, a name-retrieval technique found in the Apocrypha of the Sisterhood of the Absent Womb.

Process:

1. Cut one’s palm using mirror-glass

2. Speak the unknown’s name in reverse (if known...not applicable here)

3. Allow blood to drip onto a blank death certificate

4. Wait to see what is “written back”

Result:

• The certificate absorbed Emily’s blood

• The page caught fire without burning

• And a single line formed in faded black salt:

“Her name is the sound you refused to say.”

Emily dropped the page. Her mouth bled despite no injury.

FILE 13F: THE UNREAD CHILDREN

Inside a side drawer labeled “13F” were unfiled objects:

• Hair ribbons burned on one side

• Two tiny voice recorders, no batteries, yet both playing static

• One journal page:

“They were born in silence. The salt couldn’t bind them. They don’t haunt us—

They hollow us out.”

When Emily touched the ribbons, the vault lights died.

In darkness, static gave way to hundreds of tiny whispers, repeating one word:

“Anna… Anna… Anna…”

THE SHATTERED MIRROR PHENOMENON

At 1:21 AM, the security glass near Emily’s vault corridor cracked inward.

On review, slow-motion footage reveals:

• No visible object caused the fracture

• But Emily’s reflection in the glass blinked

• Even though she did not

She later wrote:

“I think my reflection remembers things I’m not supposed to.

I think she’s the one who stayed dead when I got born.”

CHAPTER CLOSE:

Emily was found unconscious near the ash chute, fingernails embedded into her own wrists, spelling:

“NO MORE NAMES.”

She was revived by Irene Nahl, who observed one chilling detail:

• Emily’s tongue bore a single character carved in red:

“X” .. the symbol for unacknowledged birth in cult-led rituals.

As she was wheeled out, she whispered:

“There’s something older than names. And she’s coming.”

Stay Tuned for Season 5.. Out Soon !

Tales That Breathe at Night

I write what lingers in the dark—true horrors veiled in fiction, fiction rooted in truth. Some tales are whispered in graveyards, others buried in silence. If it gave someone nightmares, I’ll write it. Some stories remember you, too.

This is terrifyingly brilliant. I love the way each chapter deepens the mystery. I need Season 5 immediately.
