SEASON 2 : THE HOSPITAL OF UNKNITTING

CHAPTER 5: THE NAME EATER

The morgue drawers rattled in unison. Dr. Lorne pried one open..inside, Nurse Patel’s mouth had been sewn shut with surgical thread that spelled "DANIEL WALKER" in looping cursive.

Her eyelids fluttered.

"You shouldn’t be here, Eleanor," she mouthed through the stitches. "He’s tasting your name now."

The lights dimmed. From the hallway came a wet, rhythmic clicking...like teeth being arranged on a tile floor.

CHAPTER 6: THE BIRTHING WALL

The third-floor hallway had changed. The walls bulged inward, throbbing like a laboring stomach. Something pressed against the plaster..fingers, then faces, then entire bodies straining to be born.

Dr. Lorne touched the wall. It gave like skin.

"They’re not trying to get out," whispered a voice behind her..her own, but wrong. "They’re trying to wear us."

The wallpaper peeled back, revealing a thousand eyes blinking in unison.

STORY FINALE

CHAPTER 7: THE FINAL UNKNITTING

Dr. Lorne stood in the mirror. Her reflection smiled...without her.

"You were always the patient, Eleanor," it said, peeling its face away to reveal Daniel Walker’s grinning teeth.

The hospital shuddered. The walls dissolved into thread, unraveling into a pulsing, fleshy void.

And then...

Rewriting.

The last intake form fluttered to the ground. It read:

"PATIENT #1: DR. ELEANOR LORNE. DIAGNOSIS: DISASSOCIATIVE REALITY KNOTTING. TREATMENT: ERASURE."

Sshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..........
