Review of "The Conjuring Universe"
My opinion on the films of the Universe of "The Conjuring".

Every horror movie lover has heard or seen the movies of the Universe of âThe Conjuringâ released by Warner Bros. Pictures and how they are based in real facts... well if you didnât know that now you know.
Until today it was released 7 movies that form this universe them being (order of release):
âThe Conjuringâ;
âAnnabelleâ;
âThe Conjuring 2â;
âAnnabelle: Creationâ;
âThe Nunâ;
âThe Curse of La Lloronaâ;
âAnnabelle Comes Houseâ.
My advice (if you want to take it off course) is to watch the films in release order and if you donât mind re-watch them in chronological order because the effect of watching after in chronological order is that youâre going to notice small details that you probably wouldnât think about if you watch for the first time them in chronological order.
Right, Iâm not going to go into much detail about the film because I donât want to give spoilers away but bear in mind you can get some spoilers here!
For those who donât know the stories told in these movies are experiences that Ed and Lorraine Warren had throughout their career of paranormal investigators. Iâm going, to be honest, in my opinion, these films are only scary because they are based in real facts otherwise for me would be another horror film that didnât have a lot of jump-scares (for me itâs really hard to get scared watching horror movies) but in âThe Conjuringâ 1 and 2 there are some moments that made my skin scroll especially the exorcism in the second film. Itâs a scene well done and according to the eyewitnesses at the time it was confirmed that most of the things shown on screen happened (so you see now why itâs scary for me) but itâs just some particular moments. Donât get me wrong the stories told are really interesting and itâs interesting to see what they went through to close whatever case they were studying but in some of the films like the âAnnabelleâ the doll used in the films is nothing like the real doll, in my opinion, is to make it scarier but if you look to the image down bellow, the real doll is scarier than the one used in the films. For it's scarier not because the way she looks but because she looks just like a normal doll and you wouln't think the doll was begin used by a demon to scare and possess people.

This makes me go to my next point, how much information in the films is accurate and how much is farfetched for the sake of the films? If you search for the real stories and the real witnesses, they say that a lot of stuff is real and some are not but, in some things, they donât give much detail. How is suppose for us as an audience watch a film that we know is based on real events but not know how close to reality the film? Maybe for some people not knowing is for the best so that they can rest at night, knowing myself I know that I would've liked to know how real it was but if I didnât like the answer that I get I wouldn't close my eyes that night.
The films âThe Nunâ and âThe Curse of La Lloronaâ are the ones I lest like. Itâs interesting to see how the film âThe Nunâ affects the others films so thatâs not so bad, whatâs worse itâs the way the film his shot, doesnât seem real for me and there again we donât know how much close to reality these films are. However, âThe Curse of La Lloronaâ the only thing interesting in this film is to know an old Mexican legend but other than that itâs not a good film starting with how bad they represented the Mexican legend. Again, the story is interesting even though itâs not well told but the way the film was made seems like a joke which is a shame.
Later this year a third âThe Conjuringâ film is going be release and will be the end of the trilogy of âThe Conjuringâ films. Having experienced the other two films, I hope in not going to be disappointed with the last film.

What do you think? Are these films scary for you or not? Never seem the films of this Universe but you are going to give it a shot? You should the stories in the films are really interesting, they may not scare you but they are interesting. I will leave the trailer of the first "The Conjuring" film to see if sparks some interest in you.
