Real Jinn Encounter in Rajbari, Bangladesh

True Horror Story

By LilyPublished 9 months ago 10 min read

The incident happened four years ago, around 2020, when he was living at his village home, which is in a village within the Baliakandi Upazila of Rajbari District. He mentioned the name of the village but asked not to disclose it. The event took place during winter. It’s necessary to describe his house a bit; it is located next to a brick kiln. At one place bricks are fired, while at another, they are made from clay. Bricks were being made right next to his house. Near the place where the bricks were made, there was a garden with three palm trees. He was around 14 or 15 years old at that time.

One morning, while wandering, he went to that garden. There, he urinated at the base of one of the palm trees. After that, he went to play with his friends, and he had no problems throughout the day. When he came home at night and had dinner, he went to sleep. Around midnight, he had a dream where he saw a man, around 30 or 35 years old, with a strange form, who came into his dream and grabbed his hand. He took him to the garden where he had urinated and showed him a woman who was lying down and struggling to breathe, just like having difficulty during an asthma attack. While showing her, he said, “Look at what your actions have done to my wife, she’s having difficulty breathing. You’re just a kid, I won’t say anything this time, but don’t ever desecrate this place again. If you do, it will bring you a lot of harm.”

After seeing this dream, he woke up and, being a young boy, he dismissed it as a nightmare. The next day, for some reason, he ended up going back there to play with his friends and committed the same offense again. No problems arose at that time either. That night, he had dinner and was watching television with the members of his family. So at that time when he was watching television, his mother and sister were sitting together next door. While they were watching TV, at one point, that elderly lady, who mentioned Mahim’s mother, said, “I’m going now, I won’t come tomorrow,” and saying this, she left the room. After this, Mahim’s older sister went to sleep in the adjacent room. A little while later, Mahim noticed that the door to their room, which that lady had just exited, was now opening again; she had come back and went to the room where his sister was sleeping or had gone to sleep. So he said to his mother, “Mom, look, the lady is coming back.” Then his mother replied, “What are you seeing? She just left, and if she passes by, I’ll see.” Mahim insisted, “No, no, I saw it; you go and check in my sister’s room, the lady is coming.” Then Mahim's mother got up and went to the adjacent room, only to find his sister lying there. Mahim's mother then said, “You’re mistaken; it’s just your imagination. This can happen; it’s all perfectly normal.”

After watching a bit more TV, when she was about to go to sleep in the adjoining room, she saw something that terrified her. She noticed that their bed had his older sister lying on it facing one way with a pillow in the middle, and right beside it was another figure that looked just like his sister, wearing the same kind of dress she was wearing, lying with its face towards the wall, imitating the style of how she was lying, but facing the opposite direction, with its eyes wide open, staring at Mahim. Seeing this, he let out a loud scream and rushed to the adjacent room, hugging his mother and crying. His mother asked, “What happened? Why are you so scared?” He replied, “Mom, look, there are two sisters!” When he said this, his mother quickly went to that room to see, and everything was normal; Mahim's sister was lying with her face towards the wall and there was no one else there. His mother again said, “You’re mistaken, there’s no one there. I went and saw it myself.”

Then this Mahim Bhai is saying that no, I actually won't go to that room anymore, I won't sleep in that room today; you sleep with Apa. At that moment, Mahim Bhai's mother tried to explain to her son that it was nothing, maybe you just mistakenly saw that. Anyway, that night Mahim Bhai's mother and his elder sister slept in the adjacent room, and during that night he had a dream. The dream was such that their family has a graveyard next to the house, and on one side of that graveyard, there is a big silk cotton tree, next to it is a date palm tree, and beside that, there used to be a big palm tree, but it has been cut down now. In the dream, he sees that he has gone to the base of the date palm tree and then notices a big black snake is chasing him to bite him. He then runs back towards the house in fear, and just as he is running back, his dream breaks. After that, he falls asleep again. In the morning, after waking up, he told his mother about the dream. At that moment, his elder sister called his mother and said, "Mom, I had a dream, listen to mine first." Then he said, "Alright, tell me what you saw." His elder sister also saw the same thing that Mahim Bhai had seen in his dream; she had gone to the graveyard near the date palm tree, and a terrifying snake was coming toward her to bite her. After that, his mother realized that something was wrong, but she couldn't understand what was happening. A few days later, the month of Ramadan came, during which they didn't have any such dreams for a while. So, from there, it takes about a 10-minute walk to go for prayers. To go to the mosque, there is a market called Moukhori Bazaar, and next to that market, there was a madrasa where there was a mosque. They used to go there to pray, particularly for Taraweeh prayers. From their neighborhood, about seven or eight friends would go to pray Taraweeh. During that time, Mahim had a button phone, which also had a flashlight.

So, while going to pray at his mosque, he would always turn on the flashlight. By the time the prayer ended, it was usually past 10:00 PM, and in the village, past 10:00 PM meant it was quite late. When he and his friends left the mosque, they arrived at a market located at a four-way intersection. From there, one road went straight, another led toward their homes, and another went toward the Balaiya Eakandi police station, with the other two roads going in different directions.

When they reached the market, his friends were saying, "Mahi, you sit at the tea shop while we go a bit further toward our homes to see if anyone is around, then we'll go with them." Since they were all just young kids, Mahi replied, "Okay, I'll sit here; you all go and check, and if you find someone, come back to get me." But he kept thinking that he was just sitting there; one of his friends actually had a flashlight, and a couple of others had mobile phones, including one with a flashlight feature.

He noticed as they walked ahead that he should have been able to see if there were any people around, but they walked quite a distance away. At that moment, Mahi was starting to worry whether his friends had left him behind or were in fact leaving him behind; he thought it was not okay for them to do that, and wondered if they were just messing with him. So, what did he do? He tried to run after them. He could see a light in the distance when he started walking with his flashlight in hand; as he moved, the light flickered—sometimes going ahead, sometimes behind.

From a distance, he observed that someone was carrying a flashlight. So, he started running toward that light. He was running, running, and even though it felt like a minute's distance, it seemed like he had been running for quite a while, yet he couldn't get any closer to the light. He noticed that along the direction he was running, there were rows of palm trees, date trees, and agricultural land beside the road, and there were no houses nearby, just one house a bit away from the road. So, he started to follow that light. At one point, he noticed that the light was bending slightly away from the road and heading down towards the agricultural land. Then he realized that there must be some kind of problem, and he was about to get into some trouble. Meanwhile, he became more certain of another thing he saw, which was that the light was at least 10 feet above the ground. Now, if a flashlight is 10 feet high and we hold it in our hand at waist level, then that person would have to be at least 20 feet tall. When he thought about why the torchlight or light was so high, he let out a loud scream in fear.

As soon as he screamed, what did the light do? It turned and focused on him. It didn’t have two eyes, just one beam of light like that of a flashlight, directed in one way. Then he fainted and didn’t remember anything. When he regained consciousness, he found that the people from that house near the road were surrounding him; he recognized them. They asked him what had happened, why he had screamed and fainted. They had just been getting ready to cook for Sahari, and they had just woken up. So, they took care of him and brought him along.

Then they took this Fahim back to his house. No, this was Mahim, not Fahim. So, Mahim would be shown to a religious teacher; this was a very strong family decision they made. Afterward, when he asked his friends why they had left him behind, they said, “Where did we go? We were just a bit away and came back to find you missing. We looked for you everywhere but couldn’t find you.”So what could be done then? In this situation, Mahim Bhai was taken to a senior cleric at the madrasa. The cleric looked at him and pointed to a nearby room, saying to take the boy there; he would come in a bit. After taking him there, the cleric drew a circle and had the boy sit in the middle, which is a common practice. Then some water was poured and sprinkled over him. After this, he didn’t have any recollection of what occurred, but when he regained his senses, he heard from his mother what had happened. When the water was sprinkled on him, a spirit possessed him, and it greeted the cleric, saying, "Please do not interfere with this trouble; this boy is very mischievous and responsible for my wife's death." Even after being warned, he did not listen. "Among all the spirits in this area, I am their leader. There is a cemetery next to this boy's house, beside which is a palm tree. I used to reside in that palm tree, but after it was cut down, I lived with my family to the other side of their house. This boy has caused water loss in a certain place. Later, I went to him in a dream and told him not to do this anymore; he is just a young boy who has done wrong. However, he did not listen, and the next day, he repeated the same act. As a result, my wife became even more ill. Although I did not harm him, the spirits who are loyal to me or are part of my tribe became very angry with him, thinking he was responsible for my wife's illness. That night, they transformed into the shape of his sister to teach him a lesson. But for whatever reason, they actually did not harm him. After that, my loyal spirits created an illusion to bring him to the field to harm him.

However, at that time, I left, and I told my spirits that they should go away because the boy is going to pray, and it’s Ramadan, so there’s no need to cause harm. For this reason, they did leave. Now, since my wife is sick, no matter how much I try to forbid them, they won’t listen, because they have repeated this misconduct even after being forbidden. Therefore, a solution to this is that wherever he committed this misdeed, he must leave five kilograms of high-quality sweets at that spot. My followers will eat those, so perhaps they will forgive him. I have forgiven him, and they may also forgive him and not bother him again. However, he must never go back to that place; otherwise, these thoughts will come back to them, and if they do, they may cause harm again. My wife, Inshallah, will get better gradually.

It is also conveyed that this boy must go and leave those five kilograms of sweets there in the evening and must leave quickly without looking back. This was indeed done; Brother Mahim did this work. By the grace of Allah, they have not faced any problems since then. He is still doing well normally. And mistakenly, he went on that road at night and wanted to share a video of that road, and that’s it.
