Once, a young woman moved into a brand-new apartment. She was incredibly happy. It was the start of a new chapter in her life, and everything felt perfect.

But there was one problem.

Every single night, she couldn’t sleep.

Strange, disturbing noises kept coming from the apartment next door. Loud thumps… scratching sounds… and sometimes what sounded like furniture being dragged across the floor.

At first, she tried to ignore it.

But the noises kept getting worse.

Finally, one night, she gathered the courage to go upstairs and confront the neighbor. She walked down the dim hallway and knocked on the door.

The girl was shocked. She had only asked politely if the noise could stop.

But the old woman kept shouting and acting aggressively until the girl finally gave up and went back to her apartment.

She thought about calling the police.

But instead, she told herself, maybe if I just sleep for a couple of hours, the noise will stop.

So she went to bed.

Hours later, in the middle of the night, she suddenly woke up again.

The noise was back.

Because the sound wasn’t coming from the neighbor’s apartment anymore.

It was coming from inside her own apartment.

Her heart started racing.

Slowly, she looked toward the bed beside her.

The blanket was raised… as if someone was lying underneath it.

She froze.
