Raghava was a kind-hearted man, but he lived a life plagued by fear. He spent his days playing cricket with his friends, but as soon as the sun set, he would retreat to the safety of his home, where he would sleep beside his mother and even have her accompany him to the bathroom. This constant fear of ghosts was a source of frustration for his family, especially his brother, sister-in-law and their children.
One day, Raghava and his friends were forced to find a new cricket ground and, without realizing it, they selected an abandoned ground that was rumored to be haunted. A strange weather change frightened them all, and Raghava brought home his cricket stumps, which were stained with blood from a buried corpse in the ground. He was determined to overcome his fear and win the affections of Priya, his sister-in-law's sister, but that wasn't to be.
Days passed, and Raghava's mother and sister-in-law began to witness strange paranormal activities in the house. After consulting with a priest, they performed three rituals to determine if the house was haunted, and to their horror, their suspicions were confirmed. Raghava's mother and sister-in-law hired two priests to get rid of the ghost, but the priests turned out to be con men and fled when they saw the real ghost.
That night, the ghost possessed Raghava, causing him to act increasingly effeminate and wearing women's clothes and jewelry. His family confronted him, and it was revealed that there were actually three ghosts possessing him: a violent woman, an Urdu-speaking Muslim, and a mentally disabled boy. They hired an exorcist, who drove the spirits away from Raghava's body. However, the woman's ghost was trapped, and she revealed her past.
The ghost was Karthik, also known as Kanchana, a transgender woman who was disowned by her parents and later adopted by a kind Muslim named Akbar Bhai and his intellectually disabled son. Kanchana worked hard to support a young transgender girl named Krishna, also known as Geetha, who she adopted and was determined to send to medical school.
When Geetha left to study abroad, Kanchana bought a plot of land for her to build a hospital for the poor. However, the land was taken by the corrupt MLA Shankar, who killed Kanchana, Akbar Bhai and his son. Before she died, Kanchana swore to kill Shankar and his henchmen.
The exorcist, bound by duty, trapped Kanchana, but after hearing her story, Raghava allowed her to possess him once again. Raghava, now possessed by Kanchana, confronted Shankar and disposed of his henchmen. Shankar sought refuge in a Narasimha temple, but Kanchana asked the deity for justice and chased Shankar inside. The three spirits combined and killed Shankar.
Years passed, and Raghava built the hospital for Geetha, as per Kanchana's wishes. He was reunited with Priya and lived a fulfilling life, but from time to time, Kanchana would possess him when she was needed to help others. Local goons, who came to demand money, became frightened when Raghava was possessed once again by Kanchana, a testament to the fact that her spirit would always be there to protect and serve.
