I am a ghost
"Echoes from Beyond: A Chilling Tale of the Unseen"

It was a warm summer day and the air was filled with the sound of laughter and the smell of freshly cut grass. Amanda was walking through the old, abandoned cemetery at the edge of town, taking pictures of the headstones and trying to capture the feeling of the place.
She had always been fascinated by ghost stories and the idea of spirits trapped between this world and the next. But as she walked through the cemetery, she felt a growing sense of unease. The laughter and sounds of the outside world faded away, replaced by a deathly silence that seemed to press in on her from all sides.
Suddenly, Amanda felt a cold hand on her shoulder. She spun around, but there was no one there. A ghostly figure appeared before her, its form shimmering in and out of focus. Amanda tried to scream, but her voice was frozen in her throat.
The ghostly figure began to speak, its voice a mournful whisper that sent chills down Amanda's spine. "I am a ghost," it said. "Trapped in this place for all eternity, doomed to roam the earth and witness the passing of time."
Amanda felt herself being drawn closer to the ghost, unable to resist its pull. As she approached, she saw that its eyes were filled with sadness and pain, and she realized that this was not just any ghost, but one that was suffering.
The ghost continued to speak, telling Amanda of how it had died and how it was unable to move on to the next world. It begged Amanda to help it find peace, to put its restless soul to rest.
Amanda was torn. Part of her wanted to run away and never look back, but another part felt a deep compassion for the ghost and a desire to help it. She took a deep breath and reached out her hand, offering to help guide the ghost to the other side.
The ghost took her hand and Amanda felt a rush of energy pass through her. Suddenly, she was no longer in the cemetery, but standing in a strange and unfamiliar place. The ghost led her down a dark hallway, past door after door, each one leading to a room filled with memories and emotions.
At the end of the hallway, Amanda saw a bright light. The ghost turned to her and whispered, "This is the way to the other side. I will always be grateful for your help."
And with that, the ghost was gone, and Amanda was left standing in the cemetery once again. She looked around, but the place was now filled with life and the sounds of the outside world. The ghost was finally at peace, and Amanda was left with a newfound appreciation for the fragility of life and the importance of moving on when our time is up.
From that day forward, Amanda dedicated herself to helping others find peace and closure, always remembering the ghost she had encountered and the lessons it had taught her about the afterlife.
Sarah was always fascinated with the paranormal and loved to explore haunted places. So, when she heard about the abandoned mansion on the outskirts of town, she couldn't resist the urge to visit. It was said that the mansion was haunted by the ghost of a woman who had died there under mysterious circumstances.
Sarah arrived at the mansion on a dark and stormy night, her heart racing with excitement and fear. She stepped inside, her flashlight illuminating the way, and immediately felt a chill run down her spine. The air was thick with an eerie presence, and she could hear faint whispers in the distance.
As she made her way deeper into the mansion, she suddenly heard a voice calling her name. She turned around, but there was no one there. She shrugged it off, thinking it was just her imagination playing tricks on her. But the voice grew louder, and she could hear it coming from upstairs.
Sarah slowly climbed the stairs, her heart pounding in her chest. As she reached the top of the stairs, she saw a ghostly figure standing at the end of the hallway. It was a woman, dressed in a flowing white gown, with long hair and a sad expression on her face.
The ghostly woman beckoned to Sarah, and she felt an irresistible urge to follow her. She walked down the hallway, her flashlight shining on the ghostly figure. Suddenly, the ghost turned and disappeared into a room.
Sarah hesitantly stepped into the room, and as she did, the door slammed shut behind her. She was trapped, with no way out. The ghostly woman appeared in front of her, her eyes filled with anger and pain.
"Why have you come here?" the ghost asked, her voice filled with anger. "You have disturbed my rest and awakened me from my slumber."
Sarah was terrified, and she could feel the ghostly presence closing in on her. She tried to run, but her feet wouldn't move. The ghostly woman began to chant, "I am a ghost, I am a ghost, I am a ghost." Over and over again, until it echoed in Sarah's mind.
In that moment, Sarah realized that she had made a grave mistake by coming to the mansion. She was trapped, with no escape from the ghostly woman and her wrath. And from that day forward, she was never seen again, her fate unknown.
The villagers whispered of another ghostly figure that roamed the halls of the old abandoned mansion. They say that if you listen closely on a dark and stormy night, you can still hear the ghostly voice, hauntingly chanting, "I am a ghost, I am a ghost, I am a ghost." And Sarah's fate remains a mystery, her spirit trapped in the afterlife forever.

Stories get better with practice. My first stories were terrible. You have great plots but you need to expand on the stories. like describe some surroundings, trees etc. Try building up to a story. I learned that right here on Vocal. Your poetry is wonderful. I too am better at poetry. Stories however, is practice, practice. practice.
I did like the diction employed, nice choice of words. I feel like the structure of the story felt a bit rushed in parts. Which is something I struggle with in my ghost stories as well. The biggest note I have is to find some areas where you can slow down. Thank you for sharing your writing!
