Maggie had always dreamed of being a mother. When she found out she was pregnant, she was over the moon. Her husband, Tim, was ecstatic too. They had been trying to conceive for over a year and had almost given up hope. But now, they were going to have a baby.

Maggie’s pregnancy was difficult from the start. She had morning sickness that lasted all day, and she was tired all the time. But she was willing to endure anything for her child. As her belly grew, so did her excitement. She couldn't wait to hold her baby in her arms.

But then strange things started to happen. It started with a feeling of being watched. Maggie would be alone in the house, but she could feel eyes on her. She would look around, but there was no one there. Tim dismissed her fears, saying it was just her hormones playing tricks on her.

But Maggie knew it was more than that. The feeling of being watched turned into a feeling of being followed. She would hear footsteps behind her, but when she turned around, there was no one there. She started to see things out of the corner of her eye - a shadowy figure darting around the room. She was convinced that someone was in the house with her, but Tim couldn't find any evidence of an intruder.

The stress was taking a toll on Maggie’s pregnancy. Her blood pressure was high, and her doctor warned her that she needed to relax. But how could she relax when she felt like she was being stalked?

One night, Maggie woke up to find a figure standing at the foot of her bed. It was too dark to see who or what it was, but she could feel its eyes on her. She tried to wake Tim, but he was sound asleep. She was frozen with fear.

The figure disappeared as quickly as it appeared, but Maggie knew it wasn't over. The next day, she started to experience cramping and bleeding. She rushed to the hospital, but it was too late. Her baby was gone.

Maggie was devastated. She didn't know how she could go on without her child. The doctors tried to console her, but she knew that it wasn't just a miscarriage. It was something else. Something evil.

She started to do research on the house they were living in, and she discovered that it had a dark past. A woman had been murdered in the house, and her body was never found. It was said that her ghost still haunted the house, looking for her lost child.

Maggie realized that the ghost had taken her baby, and she was determined to get it back. She contacted a psychic, who confirmed that the ghost was indeed in the house. She performed a ritual to communicate with the ghost and asked for her child back.

The ghost agreed, but on one condition - Maggie had to stay in the house with her forever. Maggie was horrified. She didn't want to spend eternity trapped in a haunted house, but she couldn't bear to be separated from her child.

In the end, Maggie made the ultimate sacrifice. She stayed in the house with the ghost, holding her baby close. As the years passed, she watched as the world outside moved on without her. She became a ghost herself, haunting the house with the other lost souls.

The house became known as the "House of the Lost," and it was said that pregnant women who entered the house would never come out. The ghost of Maggie and her child still roam the halls, searching for a way to break the curse and escape their eternal prison.

Years passed and the House of the Lost became a legend. People avoided the property and the few who dared to enter never returned. But one day, a young couple, unaware of the house's dark history, stumbled upon it.

The couple was looking for a place to start their family, and the house seemed perfect. It was spacious, beautiful, and affordable. They didn't know that the house was cursed, and that the spirits inside were desperate to find a way out.

As soon as they moved in, strange things started to happen. The husband, John, would wake up in the middle of the night to find his wife, Sarah, standing over him with a blank expression on her face. Sarah couldn't remember doing it, and John brushed it off as sleepwalking. But Sarah knew it was something more.

She started to feel a presence in the house, as if she was being watched. She would hear footsteps in the hallway when she was alone, and objects would move by themselves. She was convinced that the house was haunted.

Sarah was also pregnant, and the stress of the haunting was taking a toll on her pregnancy. Her doctor warned her that she needed to relax, but how could she relax in a house full of ghosts?

One night, Sarah woke up to find Maggie standing at the foot of her bed. Maggie looked sad, but she didn't seem threatening. She held out her hand and gestured for Sarah to follow her. Sarah was hesitant, but she felt a strange urge to go with her.

Maggie led her to a room at the end of the hallway. Inside, Sarah saw a crib with a baby inside. The baby looked just like Maggie's, and Sarah realized that it was her child.

Maggie gestured for Sarah to take the baby and leave the house. Sarah was hesitant - she didn't want to leave John behind. But Maggie insisted, and Sarah finally agreed. She picked up the baby and left the house.

As soon as Sarah stepped outside, she felt a weight lift off her shoulders. She looked back at the house and saw Maggie and her child standing in the doorway, watching her. Sarah knew that they were finally at peace.

Sarah and John moved far away from the house, and they never spoke of it again. They raised their child in a happy and loving environment, and they never experienced any more hauntings. But Sarah knew that the House of the Lost was still out there, waiting for its next victims. And she knew that the only way to break the curse was to return and face the spirits head on.

But that was a risk she was not willing to take. She was just grateful to have her family and to have escaped the horror that lurked inside the House of the Lost.
