It was a dark and stormy night, the kind of night that sent shivers down the spines of even the bravest souls. The rain was coming down in sheets, and the wind was howling like a pack of wolves. Most people had locked themselves inside, snug and warm in their homes, but for one woman named Sarah, the stormy night was just another shift at the hospital.
Sarah was a nurse, and tonight she was working the late shift at the local hospital. She had been working there for a few years, but she had never seen a storm like this before. The wind was so strong that it was rattling the windows, and the rain was so heavy that it was hard to see anything outside.
As the night went on, Sarah started to feel more and more uneasy. The storm seemed to be getting worse, and she couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. She tried to focus on her work, but her mind kept wandering to the storm outside.
At around midnight, Sarah received a call from one of the other nurses. She was needed on the fourth floor, where a patient had suddenly taken a turn for the worse. Sarah quickly made her way up to the fourth floor, trying to ignore the feeling of dread that was creeping up on her.
When she arrived at the room, she found the patient, an elderly man named Mr. Jenkins, lying on the bed. He was gasping for air, and his skin was turning blue. Sarah quickly started administering CPR, but she could tell that it was too late. Mr. Jenkins had already passed away.
Feeling defeated, Sarah left the room and made her way back down to the ground floor. As she was walking through the deserted hallway, she heard a noise. It was a faint sound, but it was enough to make her stop in her tracks.
Sarah listened carefully, and she realized that the sound was coming from the end of the hallway. It sounded like someone was whispering, but she couldn't make out what they were saying. She started to walk towards the sound, her heart pounding in her chest.
As she got closer, the whispering grew louder, and she could make out some words. "Come to me, Sarah. Come to me," the voice whispered. It was a man's voice, low and menacing.
Sarah tried to run, but her feet wouldn't move. She felt like she was stuck in place, unable to escape the voice that was calling her. She could see a figure in the distance, but it was too dark to make out who it was.
The figure started to move towards her, step by step. Sarah could see that it was a man, but she couldn't see his face. He was wearing a long coat, and his hands were in his pockets. He was walking slowly, almost like he was savoring the moment.
As he got closer, Sarah could see that there was something off about him. His eyes were black, and there was a strange aura around him. She tried to scream, but her throat was dry, and no sound came out.
The man was now just a few feet away from her, and Sarah could see that he was holding something in his hand. It was a knife, gleaming in the darkness. She knew that she was in grave danger.
Just when she thought it was all over, she heard a sound behind her. She turned around to see a group of doctors and nurses, all armed with medical equipment, rushing towards her. They had heard the commotion and had come to her rescue.
The man turned and fled, disappearing into the darkness. Sarah was safe, but she knew that she had come dangerously close to death. She never found out who the man was, but she knew that
