Have you ever tried calling your own phone number with your own phone?

Don't dismiss this as a silly question. I'm asking if you've ever called your own number with your own phone. Logically, it shouldn't go through, right? But what if it did? Well, then you might want to be careful, because it could mean that you don't have much time left!

I have a story about this rumor, and I'm curious if anyone here is interested in hearing it. It goes like this: I have a friend who, one night around midnight, decided to play around and called her own home phone. The first time, unsurprisingly, it didn't go through, and she didn't think much of it. But driven by curiosity, she tried again, and this time, the call actually went through!

She picked up the receiver, trembling, and was met with an eerie, hollow sound, like she was inside a deep cave, with the occasional drip of water. She hung up quickly, feeling a chill run down her spine. The next day, she told me about it, and I was skeptical. I had tried it at my own house, and it definitely didn't work.

On the third day, I saw her at school, and she looked pale and shaken. When I asked her what was wrong, she was reluctant to talk. It wasn't until lunchtime that she quietly told me that a girl had called her the night before and had called her by name! As she listened, she was reminded of that hollow background noise and hung up, terrified.

I tried to comfort her, suggesting it might have been a prank call, but she didn't seem to be lying. After a while, she went home. That evening, she called me, trembling and crying, saying that the girl on the phone wanted her life! She was terrified and didn't know what to do. That night, she was absolutely petrified.

The next day, she didn't go to school. When I called her, she said she was sick. After school, I went straight to her place because her family had gone back to the mainland. I stayed with her, and she told me that the calls always came at midnight. Sure enough, at midnight, the phone rang again. My friend was too scared to answer, so she asked me to do it. I didn't want to, but I wanted to find out if it was real, so I reluctantly picked up.

As soon as I said "Hello," I heard an echo on the line. I was about to hang up when a voice suddenly said, "Why are you sticking your nose into this?" Then, countless echoes filled my ears, and I was so scared I almost cried. What made it even more terrifying was that the voice was my friend's! I hung up immediately and told her what I had heard. She started crying even harder. We were both too scared to stay in the house, so we went to the convenience store downstairs and waited until morning.

The next day, I called my boyfriend because he knew an exorcist. Soon, he arrived with a few friends. One of them, a man in his thirties, looked very experienced. We went back to my friend's house, but she was too scared to go inside. The man went in and, after a few minutes, pointed at the phone and said, "It's coming from there." I felt a chill run down my spine because I hadn't told him anything about what had happened.

He took out a pair of chopsticks, placed them between his middle fingers, and covered his eyes with a piece of yellow cloth. He told us all to stay in the room and not to go out no matter what we heard, even if there was an earthquake. He warned us that if we made it through the night, we'd be safe; if not, there was nothing he could do.

Of course, none of us dared to leave. We were all terrified. At midnight, my friend suddenly started trembling, her face turning blue. She began to babble incoherently, and then she suddenly lurched forward, as if driven by some force, trying to rush out. We immediately held her down, and it took several of us to keep her from escaping. The noise outside was incredibly loud, like a battle was going on, with what seemed like dozens of people outside. We had no choice but to tie her up with bed sheets. She became extremely violent, her face contorted, and she screamed loudly. Through the crack in the door, we saw a strong green light outside, which then turned red. The noise was unbearable, and we had no idea what was happening.

Around 2 a.m., the entire house began to shake violently. People were pounding on the windows outside. My boyfriend and I were too scared to move, and his friends were too terrified to speak. The room suddenly became freezing cold, around 50 degrees Fahrenheit (it was summer). At around 4 a.m., there was a loud crash outside, and then everything went completely silent. My friend passed out, but since it wasn't daylight yet, we didn't dare go outside. Finally, the man called out to us, "You can come out now!" When we went out, the living room was in complete disarray, as if an earthquake had struck. The scariest part was the phone—it was shattered into pieces all over the floor.

The man said, "It's over now. Everything is fine. Just have your friend drink this bowl of something, and she'll be okay." I asked him what had happened, but he said it was better if I didn't know. He said I'd probably be too scared to know anyway. But I eventually found out that there weren't just one or two ghosts that night; there were over twenty! I didn't dare ask anything more. After that, my friend fell seriously ill and took a week to recover.

This story is absolutely true, and I want everyone to believe it! If you don't believe me, you can try calling your own phone late at night, but I really don't recommend it!
