Ghosty Movie Review - Why Kajal Accepted such a BAD movie?
Not a fine watch but its ok to watch

In the novel, Inspector Aarti finds herself as the protagonist who tragically kills a child while in pursuit of the dangerous mobster, Daas. Simultaneously, three aspiring filmmakers are introduced, and their lives are forever altered after inhaling a hazardous chemical from a lab. As Aarti's life spirals out of control due to a series of bizarre incidents, she is eventually confronted with a little girl who escaped from a mental hospital
Despite boasting a star-studded cast, the movie's poorly constructed plot fails to redeem it. The situational comedies lack authenticity, and most of the jokes fall flat. The addition of the little girl as a surprise element has potential, but without a genuine fright factor, the movie cannot be considered a horror-thriller.

Moreover, the actors fail to connect with the movie's universe, leaving most of their emotions feeling forced. The background music does improve several scenes, but the staging lacks professionalism and fails to captivate the audience. It's hard to believe how Kajal Aggarwal approved such a terrible film.
Director Kalyaan's "Ghosty" fails to even meet the standards of a passable horror-comedy, despite featuring well-known actors such as Kajal Aggarwal, Yogi Babu, KS Ravikumar, and Urvashi. The movie falls flat with viewers due to its weak one-liners and ridiculous circumstances.

In the end, "Ghosty" is yet another Tamil movie that fails to do justice to the horror-comedy genre. It's high time for the industry to acknowledge the need for fresh talent to revitalize this dwindling category.
Analysis:
Director Kalyan has set aside logic and has made the movie with the sole intention of entertaining the audience.
However, the age old script and confusing screenplay makes it difficult for the audience to enjoy the movie.
Kajal Agarwal delivers a decent performance as a cop who is caught between the torture of K S Ravikumar on one side and the ghosts on other side.
She has a good screen presence, but could have been utilised in a better manner.
The movie has an ensemble of cast including Yogi Babu, KS Ravikumar, Jay, Jegan, Redin Kingsly, Mayilsamy, Sriman, Urvashi, Radhika Sarathkumar, Subbu Panchu, Swaminathan, Mayilsamy, Suresh Menon and Sathyan.
With so many characters, they could have been utilised in a better manner.Sam CS’ background score is good. Cinematography by Jacob Rathinaraj is impressive.

In the end, "Ghosty" is yet another Tamil movie that fails to do justice to the horror-comedy genre. It's high time for the industry to acknowledge the need for fresh talent to revitalize this dwindling category.
Kajal Agarwal is fine. Urvashi is as usual. KSR is neat. Motte Rajendran is typical while Yogi Babu with his gang are decent.
The film's poorly written plot proves that even a star-studded cast cannot save a badly written movie. Most of the jokes fall flat, and the situational comedies lack realism. Although the story has potential with the addition of the small girl as a surprise element, the absence of any genuine scare factor makes the film fall short of being a horror thriller.
The actors' performances also disappoint, as most of the emotions appear forced, making it challenging to connect with the movie's world. However, the background score does uplift certain sequences. Still, the staging comes off as amateurish and fails to engage the audience
Jacob Rathinaraj’s cinematography is average. Sam CS is OK with his background score. Dialogues are average and editing a long yawn. Direction is rudimentary. Overall, Ghosty is another Tamil film that fails to do justice to the horror-comedy genre, and it's high time the industry realises the need for fresh talent to revive the genre
GHOSTY is strictly for the very bored ones !
