Fruits of Thine Labor

A Recreation Story

Clean up Crew

*The sugar filled juices of an apple, seeping through the skins like the blood from a jugular. The blood from Adam’s apple, soaking through the loins of Eve as she lay his dying head on her lap – cold hearted and uncaring as she lay the carved stone next to her side.

The very same carved stone that she used to slit his throat. The light that had shown through the apple as holes appeared where innocent worms fed, just to sustain their own life forces, unbeknownst to the fact that they themselves were consuming the life force of another being.

Worms - not the killers of the world - but rather the clean-up crew for all those who die. The lowest creature on the food chain, yet also the highest and most formidable creature throughout this planet.

The being that gets eaten by the small bird, which then feeds the prowling feline, is the very same that eats the large cat when its own life comes to its end. Oh, the circle of life, created and most worn by the most miniscule creature of this world – the worm. And right now, the worm is the very same devilish monster with angelic intentions that feeds from the skin and meat of Adam, who was not only the purest, but also the most foolish. Foolish to not believe as he took his dying breath, that the stone he carved into a knife, and gave to Eve to protect herself from the evil of the Preying Serpent, was the very same tool that the Serpent had told Eve to use to end Adam’s pitiful life.

Now there he lies in the dirt at the foot of the tree in which the Serpent dens - bled out and jugular eaten by Eve herself as the Serpent’s further kin - the worms – feed off his body. This is Eve, and the creation of Evil (Eve-Ill). This is Eve, introducing the darkness into our realm through the portal in which she created, by the consumption of the Forbidden Fruit - Adam’s Apple – The Fruits of Thine Labor. *

As a child, I was raised on the belief of the Catholic religion, and all the stories that entailed. I went to a Catholic school, went to church masses, and their’s was the God to believe in; Yet, as I got older, I began to wonder about their stories, and the perception that the writers had while writing the stories. This particular story really had me thinking, and I came up with a theory that perhaps the “Creation Story” was misinterpreted, and that maybe there was a different way to portray such a legend. As it was, I was sitting at work one day – doing some paper work – when I had a very random story tangent start to flow through my veins, and flickered quite the light of energy inside my fingertips.

The idea of the “Recreation Story”, is that perhaps the writers had misconceived what the forbidden fruit was. Males have what’s called the “Adam’s Apple” inside of our throats, and the basis of the “Creation Story” was that Eve had been lured by the Serpent(said to be Lucifer in disguise), to eat the “Forbidden Fruit” off the tree of knowledge. In disobeying her God, and doing exactly as the Serpent said, Eve had been the awakener of Evil and Sin, for she had been given absolute life and freedom, with the exception that she would NOT fall to temptation and eat the fruit. With that being said, my mind created the idea that it was Adam’s Adam apple(before it was given that name), and that the reason evil was created through the consumption of the Forbidden Fruit, was not that it was her disobedience, but that she became a cannibal in the midst of her actions. Seeing as snakes are known for their fangs, and that there are many species of snacks that bite for the kill – it would make absolute sense that out of all places, the Serpent would tell her to bite out his throat. I hope you all enjoy this little change of story, and that perhaps it will cause your minds to flow as mine does.
