#5: Skinned Tom
Click on the title above to read the full Urban Legend Story
Skinned Tom tends to center in Tennessee around the 1930s. It's a cautionary tale about a boasting and swaggering ladies' man. Someone who was charming and excentric in how he could charm anyone he set his mind to.
It was one fateful day when Tom was bragging on his train ride to see his lover did he give away too many details. Because the man he was bragging to was the husband of the woman he was meant to see. The Husband held back at the train station and wanted to catch them red-handed.
So as Tom and the mans wife began to "get familiar", thats when he stepped in. He grabbed Tom by the collar and took him into the woods behind his home. The man was a skilled hunter and the wife wasn't sure what became of them both. It wasn't until hours later when Tom came back did she scream in horror. He was fully skinned alive and bleeding everywhere.
So the legend goes if you're "parking" with someone you probably shouldn't be with, skinned Tom will come up to you with a horrifying look to catch lovers unaware.
(Fun fact, a human body CAN live up to 3 hours after being skinned alive.)
