Don't look back, it won't like what you see
A Tale of Love, Faith, and the Power to Overcome Evil

Jenny and Mark had been married for five years and had always loved going on road trips together. They were always up for an adventure and loved to explore new places and make memories together. However, this particular trip was different. They were traveling through a remote part of the countryside, and they had not seen another car or person in hours.
As they drove down the long, winding road, Jenny noticed that the scenery was becoming darker and more sinister. The trees looked twisted and gnarled, and the sky was turning a sickly shade of green. Suddenly, she heard a strange sound coming from the back of the car.
"Mark, what's that noise?" she asked, her voice shaking.
"I don't know," Mark replied, sounding just as scared as she was. "It sounds like something's dragging along the ground."
Jenny turned to look behind them, but as she did, she saw something that made her blood run cold. A dark figure was standing in the middle of the road, and it was not human. The figure was at least eight feet tall, and it was covered in thick, matted fur. Its eyes glowed with an otherworldly light, and its mouth was filled with razor-sharp teeth.
"Mark, go! Go!" Jenny screamed.
Mark stepped on the gas, and the car roared down the road. Jenny kept her eyes fixed on the figure in the rearview mirror, but as they drove, it grew smaller and smaller until it finally disappeared.
"What was that thing?" Jenny asked, her voice trembling.
"I don't know," Mark replied, his hands shaking on the steering wheel. "But I don't think we should stop again until we reach the next town."
The next town was only a few miles away, but it seemed like an eternity. Jenny's mind was racing with thoughts of the figure they had seen. Was it some kind of monster? A demon? She didn't know, but she was sure that it was not human.
As they pulled into the small, dusty town, they were greeted by a strange sight. All of the buildings were in ruins, and there was not a single soul in sight. Jenny felt a chill run down her spine as they made their way down the main street.
"We have to get out of here," Mark said, his voice low and afraid. "This place is giving me the creeps."
Jenny nodded, but as she turned to leave, she heard a sound behind her. She spun around, but there was no one there. She was about to tell Mark when she heard it again. This time, it was louder, and it seemed to be coming from the direction of a crumbling old church.
"What is that?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
"I don't know," Mark replied, his voice shaking. "But I think we need to leave."
Jenny nodded, but as they started to walk away, she heard the sound again. This time, it was even louder, and it was coming from the church. Jenny felt her heart pounding in her chest as she took a step toward the building.
"Jenny, don't!" Mark cried.
But she couldn't help herself. She was drawn to the sound, and she felt a strange, almost irresistible urge to see what was making it. She pushed open the door of the church, and as she stepped inside, she was enveloped in darkness.
The darkness was so complete that she couldn't see a thing, but she could hear the sound, and it was getting closer. She reached for Mark's hand, but he was gone. She called out his name, but there was no reply. She was completely alone, in the dark, with whatever was making that sound.
The sound grew louder, and Jenny felt herself being pulled deeper into the church. Suddenly, she saw a light, and she ran toward it. As she got closer, she realized that it was a figure, standing in the center of the room. The figure was shrouded in darkness, but she could see that it was not human. It was at least eight feet tall, and it was covered in thick, matted fur. Its eyes glowed with an otherworldly light, and its mouth was filled with razor-sharp teeth.
Jenny screamed and backed away, but the figure reached out and grabbed her. It lifted her off the ground, and she felt herself being pulled closer to its mouth. She closed her eyes and screamed, waiting for the inevitable.
Suddenly, she heard a voice. It was Mark's voice, calling her name. She opened her eyes, and she was back in the car. She turned to Mark, and he looked at her with concern.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
Jenny nodded, but she couldn't shake the feeling of fear that had settled in the pit of her stomach. She was sure that what she had experienced was not a dream. It was real, and she was scared.
From that day on, Jenny and Mark never went on another road trip. They stayed close to home, and they never talked about what had happened that day. But Jenny never forgot the fear she had felt, and she knew that she would never be able to shake the memory of the figure she had seen in the church.
Years went by, and Jenny and Mark grew old together. They had a family of their own, and they were happy. But on their fortieth wedding anniversary, they decided to take one last road trip. They wanted to revisit some of the places they had been to when they were young and in love.
As they drove down the long, winding road, Jenny felt a chill run down her spine. She remembered the figure from the church, and she knew that they were in danger.
"Mark, do you remember the trip we took when we were young?" she asked, her voice shaking.
"Of course," Mark replied. "I remember it like it was yesterday."
"Do you remember the town we went through?" Jenny asked. "The one with the church?"
"Yes," Mark replied. "Why do you ask?"
"I think we should avoid it," Jenny said. "I have a bad feeling about it."
But as they drove, they realized that they were getting closer to the town. The trees looked twisted and gnarled, and the sky was turning a sickly shade of green. Suddenly, Jenny heard a strange sound coming from the back of the car.
"Mark, go! Go!" Jenny screamed , but it was too late. The figure reached out and grabbed the car, lifting it off the ground. Jenny and Mark were trapped, unable to escape the terror that was gripping them.
The figure's eyes burned with an unearthly light, and Jenny felt herself being pulled out of the car. She was face to face with the monster, and she could see the evil in its eyes. It was the same figure she had seen in the church all those years ago, and she knew that this was the end.
But then, she heard Mark's voice, calling her name. She turned, and she saw that he was holding a cross, the same one that he had given her on their wedding day. The cross was glowing with a bright, holy light, and the figure was backing away, howling in pain.
Jenny and Mark clutched the cross together, and the figure disappeared. They were back in the car, and they were safe. But they both knew that they would never forget the terror they had faced that day.
They drove away from the town as quickly as they could, and they never looked back. They knew that whatever was in that town, it was not meant for the living. And they were grateful to have escaped with their lives.
From that day on, Jenny and Mark never spoke of the terror they had faced. But they both knew that they would never forget the fear that had gripped them, and they would always be grateful for the love and protection that had saved them from the evil that lurked in the darkness.
As they drove, they both felt a sense of peace wash over them. They were reminded of the strength of their love and the power of their faith. They held hands and smiled at each other, grateful to be alive and together.
But as they drove further away from the town, they noticed that something was following them. They could hear a low, guttural growling sound, and they could feel eyes watching them from the shadows.
Jenny's heart began to race, and she felt a cold sweat break out on her forehead. She was sure that they were being hunted by the figure from the church, and she didn't know how much longer they would be able to evade it.
Mark drove faster, trying to outrun the creature. But it was getting closer and closer, and Jenny could hear its snarling breath. She closed her eyes and prayed, asking for protection from the evil that was chasing them.
Suddenly, the growling stopped, and Jenny opened her eyes. The road was clear, and they were no longer being pursued. She and Mark looked at each other, both of them relieved and shaken by the close call.
They drove for hours, until they finally saw the lights of a small town in the distance. They pulled into a motel and checked into a room, exhausted from their journey.
As they lay in bed that night, they held each other tightly, grateful to be alive. They both knew that they had faced something evil, and they would never forget the fear that had gripped them. But they were also reminded of the love and faith that had saved them, and they went to sleep that night, comforted by the knowledge that they were protected.
And from that day on, Jenny and Mark lived their lives in peace, never forgetting the horrors they had faced but always grateful for the love that had kept them safe. They knew that as long as they had each other, they could face anything that came their way.
But the fear still lingered, and they both felt like they were being watched. They would often wake up in the middle of the night, hearing whispers in the darkness. They tried to ignore it, but the fear was always there, nagging at the back of their minds.
Years went by, and they started a family. They had two children, a boy and a girl, and they were happy. But the whispers in the darkness continued, and they knew that they were still being watched.
One day, when their children were teenagers, they received a strange package in the mail. It was a box, and inside, they found a key and a note that read, "Go back to the town. It's waiting for you."
Jenny and Mark were terrified. They knew that they had to go back to the town, to face the evil that they had once escaped. They packed their bags and headed back, knowing that their love and faith would keep them safe.
When they arrived, they found that the town was just as they remembered it. The church was still there, and the figure was waiting for them. But this time, they were not afraid. They held hands and approached the figure, ready to face their fear.
The figure stood up, revealing itself to be a demon, and it hissed at them, baring its fangs. But Jenny and Mark were not afraid. They held the cross that Mark had given to Jenny on their wedding day, and they prayed, asking for protection.
The demon screeched in rage, but it was no match for the love and faith of Jenny and Mark. They watched as the demon vanished, defeated by the power of their love.
Jenny and Mark left the town, never to return. They knew that they had faced their fear, and that they were safe from the evil that had once haunted them. They went home to their children, grateful for their love and grateful for the strength of their faith.
And from that day on, they lived their lives in peace, never forgetting the horrors they had faced but always grateful for the love that had kept them safe. They knew that as long as they had each other, they could face anything that came their way.
