Cursed Cola Cans: Mountain of Malevolence
Lore has it, they never returned...

In the heart of a remote, mountainous area draped with towering alpine trees and shrouded in an eerie mist, lay a forgotten corner of the world where an unsettling legend began to form.
The locals spoke of an abandoned cola factory that had once thrived on the edge of the wilderness, nestled between the imposing peaks. Decades ago, a catastrophe had befallen the factory, causing it to shutter its doors and fade into obscurity. The incident was said to involve a series of inexplicable accidents that led to a fatal explosion, releasing a dark energy into the surroundings.
Years passed, and the once-thriving factory became a decaying relic, its rusted machinery and discarded cola cans standing as an eerie testament. The surrounding alpine trees seemed to sway with an uncanny rhythm as if holding a secret. Local whispers told of strange noises echoing through the forest at sundown, of whispers carried by the wind that chilled the very bones of those who ventured too close.
One fateful summer, a group of hikers determined to brave the myths and explore the area. As they trekked through the dense woods, the forest seemed to close in around them, and the air grew heavy with ominous energy. It wasn't long before they stumbled upon the abandoned factory, its dilapidated state a stark contrast to the vibrant foliage around it.
Curiosity piqued, the hikers entered the factory's crumbling interior, their flashlights casting mysterious shadows on the walls. Among the debris and broken machinery, they discovered crates upon crates of forgotten cola cans, still perfectly preserved. Strangely, the labels on the cans bore an unfamiliar design, as if from another time.
Unrevealed to the hikers, the dark energy that had been unleashed by the factory's disaster had seeped into the cola, infusing it with a malevolent force. As one of the hikers, Dave cracked open a can, a sinister presence seemed to awaken in the forest. Unseen eyes watched from the shadows as Dave took a sip, unknowingly releasing the curse that had lain dormant for so long.
With a sudden and violent force, the serene mountain landscape transformed into a nightmarish tableau. The possessed bears and squirrels that once roamed the woods became twisted and corrupted, their once-innocent eyes now glowing with an otherworldly malevolence. The very trees seemed to writhe in misery, their branches reaching out like gnarled fingers.
The hikers soon found themselves hunted by the very creatures they had patted and fed almonds, their every step followed by the cursed animals. Panic and desperation set in as they realized the true extent of the curse they had unleashed. Each attempt to escape was hindered by the ghostly forces.
As night fell, the forest came alive with an unnatural cacophony, and the hikers realized they were now entangled in a living nightmare. With the possessed creatures closing in, the group's numbers diminished, and a chilling realization dawned upon them: the curse could only be lifted by returning the tainted cola to its source and confronting the darkness that had taken root in the abandoned factory.
The surviving hikers undertook the harrowing journey to undo the curse they had unwittingly set free. They steered through a landscape twisted by malicious forces, facing unimaginable horrors as they sought to break the curse's hold. The climax of their trial brought them face to face with the embodiment of the dark energy, an embodiment of pure malice that sought to consume their very souls.
No one ever got to greet them returning from the forest, local lore still continues but with another dark chapter of sheer malice.
