Mysterious Signal

The night before Christmas is coming., the whole city seemed to be immersed in a warm festive atmosphere. The colorful lights on the street flickered, and the shop windows were filled with gorgeous Christmas trees and colorful gifts. However, Jerry could not get rid of the deep anxiety. He looked at the falling snow outside the window and felt an uneasy omen.

“Jerry, you’ve been quiet all evening. What’s wrong?” Mesa, his lively best friend, asked as she stuffed gift-wrapped boxes into her bag.

“Nothing, just tired,” Jerry replied with a forced smile, hoping to conceal his growing dread.

Just as he was about to leave, the phone on the table rang. He worried for a moment and answered the uneasy call. No one spoke on the other end of the phone, but there was a low noise, like the sound of wind blowing through an ancient building.

"Hello?" Jerry shouted again, with a somewhat uneasy tone.

Suddenly, a low voice came from the phone: "At midnight, the ancient church was destroyed, witnessing the truth you can't escape." As soon as the voice fell, the phone was immediately disconnected.

"What?" Jerry's voice trembled a little: "Someone called me... He said 'an old abandoned church'." Mesa frowned: "An old church? Hasn't it been abandoned for a long time? I heard that there are often strange noises there, and no one dares to approach." She smiled, as if she thought it was just a prank. "How do you know it's not a trap if you don't go and see it?" Jerry took a deep breath and had an ominous premonition. He never believed in such superstitious things, but the mysterious phone call in his heart deeply troubled him. "Mesa, let's go and see. No matter what else happens tonight, at least find out what's going on." Mesa's eyes flashed with a hint of excitement: "Yes! An adventure on Christmas Eve is just what I want. "

So, they decided to go to the abandoned church in the pyramid. With the acceleration, the atmosphere around them became more and more weird. After all, the lively streets gradually became empty, and the buildings became dilapidated, as if entering another world. The air became extremely cold, and even their breathing became heavy.

After walking for a long time, they finally came to the ancient cathedral of the Golden Tower. The ancient building stood in the dark night, like a gloomy monster. The broken windows and gaps gave off a rotten breath, and the surrounding atmosphere was so oppressive that people could not breathe. Looking at it, the church's bell tower was like a huge eye, suppressing them, full of threats.

"Here..." Mesa's voice trembled a little, "something is wrong."

Jerry's heartbeat gradually accelerated, and his intuition told him that this place was hiding unspeakable dangers. "Let's go in and take a look. "Jerry spoke with difficulty. Although he was filled with fear, his curiosity drove him to take a step forward.

When they pushed open the shabby wooden door, a chill suddenly hit them. Behind the door was a bottomless darkness, and the air was filled with decay and mold. Mesa didn't care and walked in with a smile: "You are too nervous. This is just an abandoned church."

But the moment she stepped into the city center, the door suddenly slammed shut. The whole church suddenly fell into a dead silence, overcoming the darkness that surged like a tide and eliminated their sight. The air became extremely heavy, and every tiny sound echoed in the church, which was creepy.

"Jerry? Where are you?" Mesa's voice was a little uneasy.

Jerry's heart beat faster, and he whispered: "I'm here. "

Suddenly, a low bell sounded from the depths of the basement, slow and strange, as if it had crossed the limits of time and space. The bell sounded and resounded in victory, and every sound seemed to come from the abyss of hell, making people feel an indescribable fear in their hearts.

Just next to it, a vague outline came from the innermost part of the church. Jerry and Mesa looked closely, and the outline slowly moved in the darkness, gradually revealing a human figure. She was wearing a tattered Christmas dress, with a strange smile on her face, and her eyes were empty and dead.

"You are finally here." The woman's voice was cold, with an irresistible threat.

"You... who are you?" Mesa's voice trembled, and his heartbeat accelerated unconsciously.

The woman smiled slightly and pointed to the depths of the basement: "You have walked in here, and now, you can no longer escape."

As her voice fell, the complete darkness began to wriggle, as if an invisible hand was approaching them faintly. The air became colder and colder, and the entire cathedral seemed to be swallowing up everything they had.

"Jerry... we have to leave here! "Mesa's voice was urgent, but no matter how she struggled, the door of the church could not be opened. The bell rang again, this time, it was louder, as if announcing their fate.

Jerry's eyes were full of fear, and he suddenly realized that the myster
