An actress who masters the horror genre

Chloë Grace Moretz's experience in horror films has been a significant part of her career, showcasing her versatility and depth as an actress. She has starred in several prominent horror projects, each offering different nuances to the genre, allowing her to explore darker, more complex roles.

One of her earliest and most notable roles in horror came in 2010 with Let Me In, a chilling remake of the Swedish film Let the Right One In. Moretz portrayed Abby, a mysterious and eerie young girl who is both a vampire and a victim of her circumstances. Her performance was praised for its subtlety and emotional complexity, as she was able to balance the fragility and menace of her character. The film’s success cemented her as a rising star in the genre.

Another significant role was in Carrie (2013), where the blonde actress took on the iconic role of Carrie White, the shy, telekinetically powered teenager who seeks revenge on her classmates after a cruel prank. The film, based on Stephen King's novel, required Moretz to tap into a mixture of vulnerability and intense anger. She gave an emotional performance that resonated with both fans of the original film and newcomers to the story, solidifying her as a key figure in the modern horror landscape.

Moretz also ventured into the realm of psychological horror with The 5th Wave (2016), which blended elements of apocalyptic survival with teen drama. Though more sci-fi than traditional horror, the film offered Moretz the chance to portray a young woman fighting against both alien invaders and the emotional trauma of the world falling apart. Her role in this film highlighted her adaptability within darker, more high-stakes narratives.
