Buried in Earth that never forgets

-

By Karan w. Published 9 months ago 1 min read

The night was also wrapped in darkness and was silent amidst the whisper of the forest by covering all the silence. Zurian was dead in his hut built in the middle of the forest, he did not do any other work other than digging his grave for the last few days. He had only a companion in the forest, a white wolf, who always lived with him.

After Zurian's death, the wolf dragged him to the grave. He laid Zurian in the grave and paid him a final tribute. As dark clouds gathered in the sky, heavy rain began to fall. The wolf got down in the grave, and shortly after, the grave was covered by water with his deep silence. The white wolf buried death, thinking that earth would forget this.

Wow. This was rather mysterious. Short, but it held my attention through every word and in every sentence. What a masterpiece! Well done as always SK! 🤗

    Nice work, Sk.

  • I'm so sorry but I'm a little confused 😅😅 Did his wolf also get into the grave with him and got buried?

This is a very short story that is haunting, and I agree with Mother Combs and Maryam it is bittersweet for the love of a pet and that no one years from when you die no one will remember you. Great job.

Ahh! The realisation hits hard when we realize that in the End everyone’s gonna forget us eventually! 🥲 The wolf was so kind! ❤️
