Beyond the Door

a horror story

By Katherine J. ZumpanoPublished about a year ago Updated 5 months ago 1 min read

There was only one rule: don’t open the door.

The room was small, but far from empty. There were two cots and a small nightstand. A wardrobe housed their clothes, and there were books and board games in a chest in the corner. The shelves were lined with canned food and water bottles; the kitchenette had a sink and a small stove. A single lightbulb offered harsh light, but candles and a large box of matches softened the nights. There was even a small, functional toilet behind a curtain.

Tabitha couldn't remember how long she had been in the room. She knew it had been years; she had entered the room as a young girl of fourteen, but she was now a woman. In fact, she had been in the room for so long that she no longer remembered why they had locked themselves away from the world. John refused to talk about what happened, and the events of their last day outside were now clouded in her memory.

What she did remember was the one rule John had repeated over and over. Don't open the door. Until he had, of course, opened the door and ventured out into the world, searching for something Tabitha had long since forgotten. He never came back.

Tabitha had grown bored and curious without her brother. Whatever danger existed beyond the thick, oak door seemed less of a threat as the days passed. The screams and thumps from the other side had lessened slowly, until they stopped.

Without hesitation, she gripped the cool, metal handle and pushed the door open. As she stared at John's mangled body, lying on the floor next to her parents' remains, she remembered the creatures too late.

The last thing she saw was its teeth closing around her head.

Personally, I think it's a little sad that some people give up on finding their lost money, passwords, or cryptocurrency when there is so much support available. when a wide range of professionals are willing to assist you in obtaining what is rightfully yours. I've spoken with friends who are going through comparable circumstances but are too proud or shy to ask for assistance. I've always believed that you should receive assistance if everyone is receiving it. Although I prefer to remain anonymous, I feel compelled to relay this crucial information: hackers are there for a purpose. to assist you when officials or the police are unable to. So far, I have tried Synack Hackers, and I have to say, they have not let me down. This hacker saved me the $240,000 USDT that I would have otherwise lost. I was sadly let down by the police department, which is why I decided to look for hackers. So, beloved, get assistance. If you're interested in working with my hackers, here is their email: (synackhack{@}tech{-}center{.}com)

"This story is truly mysterious and terrifying. Tabitha's experience and her contradictory psychology, where she is desperate for her brother but also has the desire to break the rule of not opening the door, make it even deeper. Tabitha's room seems to be a haven, but she is completely cut off from the outside world. John's sudden disappearance and the final scene of his body bring a horrifying twist, making it clear that the decision to open the door has proven to be a significant danger for her. An incredible story filled with wonderful imaginations. I have one question for you: 'I am curious to know about the 'founding member' badge on your profile. What does it mean?'"

This was so well done. What a gruesomely terrifying ending.
