The home on Elm Street remained deserted for numerous years because both windows shattered and the walls displayed clear damage. When Sarah entered her new home she thought it offered the perfect begining she had always hoped for. When evening descended for the first time she became aware of mutterings in the darkness. A gentle flow of noises emerged faintly similar to wind messages. She dismissed the experience by saying she was making it up in her mind.

The whispering voices between the second night and third night became increasingly forceful. They originated directly from the wall structures. The noises made Sarah try to tune them out until she viewed the shadow which appeared at the edge of her vision. She flipped around to see absolutely nothing in the room. Just the empty room.

During the third night the noises transformed into shouts. Sarah shot up from bed as her heart raced. The air around her turned cold and through her breathing she saw small clouds floating in the darkness. She tried to switch on the lamp but it stayed dark. The sounds increased their volume until they filled the inside of her mind.

With scared desperation she rushed across the hallway only to discover that the walls started bleeding. Black fluid dripped through the walls relentlessly until everything solidified into dark puddles near her feet. A virtuous scream transformed into spiteful mocking laughter. The house extended further than Sarah could run because each door closed behind her.

After her marathon approach to the front door it refused her entry. Eyes that shined like red coals stared from the darkness as she turned toward the shape in front of her. As it stretched its hand to touch her the icy cold made contact.

The building lacked all noise when morning arrived. Sarah was gone. All neighbors claim to have detected loudhearted laughter escaping through the house's walls yet nobody mustered the courage to check. The Elm Street house remains there today as it waits patiently for another person to meet its fate.
