Addie's Decision

Addie’s Decision

Like those before her Addie was given a choice which will change her and her twin sister’s life forever, but will she make the right choice.

It felt what seemed like time froze to a complete stop, when suddenly the smelly dark brown sack that was over Addie’s face was quickly lifted away, she looked around the dark room, at first all she saw was the two mysterious figures who took her from her home, when suddenly she heard a muffled sound coming from one of the dark corners of the room that she didn’t notice before in which she realized that it was her sister who was gagged and tied on the floor, who had been crying. “Leave her alone…. Don’t you dare hurt her” exclaimed Addie, there was complete silence that only lasted for a few seconds in which laughter filled the room. Which stopped abruptly by a hidden door the two figures that burst open and in walked a third mysterious figure carrying on object what seemed to be some kind of strange canister. Once Addie laid her eyes on the canister she knew right then and there what the canister had meant and she knew who these things were, why her and her sister where taken to this dark place.

A raspy voice came from the third figure “put that one in the chair” pointing to Addie’s sister who was now roughly grabbed from the floor and forced into what seemed to be an iron chair with straps all over. Her sister struggled as much as she could but could not break free from their grasp, which made Addie lunge forward to help her sister which was caught short by a fourth figure who no one noticed had entered the room and had knocked Addie hard down to the ground. The figure who carried the canister spoke in a stern voice “You have a choice to make now young Addie, either you cooperate and take all of what is in this canister in, or you will be forced to watch your poor little sister suffer that fate”. Addie looked towards her sister who was staring at her shaking her head, once the figures removed the gag from her mouth was able to speak “Addie please don’t, save yourself”. Addie was taken back from what her sister had just told her, she just froze in place for a few moments as her life flashed in front of eyes.

Addie remembered how when her and her sister were younger, and how her parents were always telling them no matter what that they should stay together and always run. She remembered how they were always running from these things that are holding them captive right now, and that her and her sister made a promise to each other that they will protect each other no matter what. When she finally came to, she heard yelling she saw all three original figures standing over her sister with the slime creature that was inside the cannister near her sister’s face, she hollered “Stop!! I’ll do it “, then she looked to her sister for the last time with tears in her eyes she was able to say, “I will always love you and be with you” At the sprint of a second Addie was switched with her sister in the chair tied down and the figures were already forcing the slime creature down her throat. At that moment Addie’s sister knew that It was too late for her to stop it, and that was the last time Addie and her sister saw each other.
