Part: 2 of 10

trying to find a picture that suits my story. Until then here is a picture of my face. Est: 2018

Corrand pulls up right about a block away. I motion to her to start moving forward and she then follows. As we are heading to the car I notice a tiny bit of extra light being shined from the car, there it is then there it's not. As I approach I noticed that they are the hazards. Corrand being the hair away from six feet, do not worry I will explain later, that he is has the radio blaring and I am sure he will not hear me but I try anyways. "Corrand why are the hazards on?" The song is thunderstruck by AC/DC. He is obviously jamming out using his hands and taping the steering wheel. As I get close I realize that he actually singing the song. I stand patiently with her right behind be and wait for the song to end. As it approaches the end I ask his again. "Corrand why are you hazards on?" He replies with "can't turn them off." I walk around to the front again and then back to him "you can not turn off the lights?" He looks at me "yes." "Hmmm ok let me take a look." I poke my head into the car and notice that the hazard button is filled with cement. "Uhhh did you do that?" Corrand is looking for his cell phone charger. "Hmm? No, I am not the one who did that." Ok well that explains why the lights are flashing. I mention to get back into the car and try to figure out which direction to go. I am so focused on figuring out the path exactly that the vehicle starts moving and I do not even notice. So, I have not been able to talk about my appearance or really any of ours. So first is Corrand. As I mentioned before he claims to be a hair away from 6 feet. but he is actually 5'10". So I usually reply with oh so you are hoping for a cow-lick. he usually just stares at me on edge and I give a little chuckle. I am actually 6'1". Yea sure I could make a joke about him being 3 inches short of a real mans height but what's the point? Well these simply is not one. Ok then her, yes I am hiding away from you our two names for now you only know Corrands but not mine or hers, she is 5'7". I basic height with no real reason for wanting more. She was a volley ball player. Yes, I know right. Lets just say her vertical out played a lot of people on her team. She literally could and did spike the ball. Me, I am not the athletic type. Sure I played sports and being humble I can say I was bad at them but really was not my thing. I preferred reading and thinking. I have a philosophy in my head that often shakes people to the core as they listen and actually think about it. I simply tell them that 'the world was not created on ethos or pathos. If you look back on life you will see that the words was created and worked through multiple chains of life through Logos, simply meaning logic. Why? Because without logic you really would not have anything. Nothing.. zip.. zero.. nana.

"Where are we going." She makes a statement out of a question.

I was still staring off into thinking about different things and how would they actually affect our path to the other side of the country.

"Huh, I thought we were going to Canada." Corrand replies but I do not hear him.

"What, why would you think that?"

"Uhhh, he said out of the country." Being given a rather intense shake I notice that I am not being able to focus anymore "Huh?" I say. "Did you hear what Corrand said?" Noticing that she was not having a happy moment I said "yes. He told me that he is coming from Washington and that we are heading to the east." I smile, "right?" "No. That is not case." By now she is leaning forward making me lean forward just to see Corrand. I slightly lean forward making me able to see Corrand. I look at him and he mouths something, I say "I thought we were going to Canada." As soon as the words left my mouth I noticed that she was not wanting to hear that nor did what Corrand mouthed made any sense. "Wait no I wa..." She bursts out "you were off trying to figure out where we were going too, weren't you?" "Uhh yea. But, I wasn't thinking of the path were taking currently. I was thinking of the path we were going to take to get to the East side of the Country." Slumping back into the back seat I let out a sigh of relief. I look over my shoulder and smile at her "happy now?" Frowned face and just an overall glare she replies "no." I just nod and face Corrand, as that now we can talk about this impromptu adventure to Canada.

"Corrand?" I say his name in a way that just sounds like I am confused. "Yea? What would you like?" I look at him. "Could you turn around or find a road that goes West?" I ask. "No can do. Don't worry we will be going this way and then we will be heading back to the East or wherever you wanna go." I look at him and wonder why that is the case. Instead of asking I just acknowledge that he has a plan and it will result in me accomplishing mine as well. "Soo, where are the place or places that you want to go in Canada?" I ask him. He smiles. I have never been to Canada and I heard that they have insanely good poutines. Blank face I stare at Corrand who doesn't seem to notice that issue with what he said. I just let out a "what?"

Thank you for readin Part 2 of 10 series I am creating. I have always wanted to write a short story (10,000 words) But have never had the time or mental space or position to do so until this Summer. I hope that you enjoy taking this journey with me as I attempt this self encouraged challenge.

I have always used Facebook to write my complex and a bit obtuse thoughts, and perspectives. A ex-friend of mine suggested that I start a blog. I decided not to and started a vocal account many years later maybe 7. ENJOY!
