A Horror story Marriage and life with a fairy

Elias had always been a lonely man. Living on the outskirts of a dense forest, he spent his days tending to his farm and his nights dreaming of a love he had never known. One evening, as he wandered deeper into the woods than usual, he came across a small pond shimmering under the moonlight. There, standing on the water’s edge, was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.

Her skin was pale as moonlight, her hair flowed like liquid silver, and her eyes shimmered with an unnatural glow. She smiled at him, her delicate fingers beckoning him forward.

"Who are you?" Elias asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

"I am someone who has been waiting for you," she replied, her voice like the rustling of leaves in the wind.

Though he should have been afraid, he felt drawn to her. That night, under the silver light of the moon, she promised to be his if he swore to love her forever. Elias, desperate for companionship, eagerly agreed.

Marriage with the Fairy

Elias brought the fairy woman home and named her Selene. Their life together was unlike anything he had imagined. She never ate, never slept, and her presence filled the house with an eerie quietness.

At first, Elias dismissed these oddities, enchanted by her ethereal beauty. She was affectionate, always smiling, always watching him with those luminous eyes. But as time passed, he noticed strange things.

The animals in his barn grew restless when she was near, their eyes wide with terror. The fire in the hearth would flicker violently whenever she entered the room. At night, he would wake to find her sitting at the edge of the bed, staring at him, unblinking.

One night, he awoke to the sound of whispers. The house was filled with a chorus of soft voices, though they came from nowhere and everywhere at once. He turned to Selene, but she was not beside him.

He found her outside, standing in the moonlit garden, speaking to the darkness. The whispers ceased the moment he stepped closer.

"Who were you talking to?" he asked, his voice shaking.

She turned to him, smiling in that eerie, knowing way. "The forest is never silent," she whispered. "It listens. It watches."

The Horrors Begin

As days turned to weeks, Elias's health began to decline. He felt constantly drained, his body growing weaker despite eating well. His dreams became plagued with visions of dark, twisted trees and eyes watching from the shadows. Sometimes, he would wake up unable to move, feeling Selene's cold fingers tracing his face.

One evening, a traveling priest came to the village. Elias, desperate for answers, sought him out.

"You look ill, my son," the priest said, concern in his eyes. "Tell me, has anything changed in your home?"

Elias hesitated before whispering, "My wife… she's not like us."

The priest’s face darkened. "You have taken something that does not belong to this world. She is draining you."

Elias felt a chill run through him. "What can I do?"

The priest handed him a small vial of holy water. "Sprinkle this around your home. If she is what I suspect, she will reveal her true nature."

That night, Elias did as he was told. As he poured the holy water around their house, Selene appeared behind him, her once serene face twisting in rage.

"You betrayed me," she hissed, her voice no longer soft and melodic, but layered with many voices. Her eyes darkened into endless black pits.

Elias stumbled backward. "What are you?"

"I gave you love," she said, stepping closer, her feet hovering above the ground. "And you swore to love me forever. You are mine, Elias."

The house groaned as if the very walls were alive. The whispers returned, louder this time, filling his ears until he felt like his head would split apart.

In his terror, he ran.

A Fate Worse Than Death

Elias fled to the village, seeking the priest's help. But when they returned to his home, Selene was gone. The house was silent, the only evidence of her existence the unnatural cold that still lingered in the air.

"You must never return," the priest warned. "She will wait for you."

Elias tried to move on. He stayed in the village, avoiding the forest at all costs. But he was never free. At night, he would hear whispers outside his window. Sometimes, he would see a figure standing at the edge of the trees, watching, waiting.

One evening, months after he had escaped, he heard a soft knock at his door. His heart pounded as he slowly opened it.

There she stood, her silver hair flowing, her black eyes staring into his soul.

"You swore to love me forever," she whispered. "And forever is not over."

Darkness swallowed him whole. Elias was never seen again.

The End.
