10 Best Halloween Movies to Watch This October
Need some good movies to watch this Halloween season? Here are some fun ones!

There are many scary movies out there and many people associate them with Halloween, but that isn't the case usually. These movies are the classic Halloween movies that everyone should watch every year! Enjoy the ideas that you might've forgotten!
Tim Burton's Classics

These are just some of Tim Burton's classics: Corpse Bride, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, ParaNorman, Dark Shadows, etc. To me, Tim Burton is like the father of Halloween. His movies just invoke a creepiness that invades your soul that you welcome in because you are just so enticed with his dreams on the screen in front of you. Tim makes me poetic sometimes. I don't consider myself a hardcore Halloween fan, but I will always be down to watch a Tim Burton movie.
'Halloween'

Now I haven't actually seen this movie. It scares me. I just can't handle Michael coming at people with a huge knife! But it is definitely a Halloween movie to watch. It's a scary classic with Jamie Lee Curtis! Aaaaaand it's getting a new one! It should be a good one! Getting ready to hold your blanket to your face!
'Scream'

I love these movies! I love that they target one girl for some reason. It just makes the movie have more meaning in that it messes with your mind because what if that were you? You would go crazy! But it's about a girl who gets targeted by someone in a scream character costume! I think this picture is from one of the Scary Movies, but the series is awesome! I'm just upset that Netflix is splitting up the franchise.
'Halloweentown'

I think the trilogy of this show is awesome! But the college movie is not the best and cheesier than the rest. It's about a family of witches who are trying to live as normal people! It's pretty cheesy, but it is a kids movie! It's fun, adventurous, and heart-warming. I just wish this was my life! I think the second one is my favorite where Marnie travels through time!
'The Addams Family'

Da Da Da Dum! Snap Snap! Da Da Da Dum! Snap Snap! This is little the epitome of Halloween never ending. Which I mean is that a problem? Definitely not. They are awesome and I sometimes wish I was Wednesday. It's almost time to Wake the Dead!
'Young Frankenstein'

Gene Wilder is the best in this show. He plays a young Frankenstein who brings to life the monster! It's not the usual Frankenstein movie that is scary, but it is very comedic and a silly dramatic. It's a classic that is black and white (I hate black and white), but this is hilarious and totally worth watching!
'Hocus Pocus'

I feel like I shouldn't have to explain this one. Why it's on here and why it's a classic. It's hilarious, spooky, mysterious, clever, and just plain awesome. The Sanderson Sisters are back at it again when a virgin lights the black flame candle. All it takes for them to live forever is sucking the souls out of the little children. All Sarah has to do is sing a little song to bring them to their lair. The virgin, his crush, his little sister, and the weird talking cat try to stop them before Halloween is over!
'The Little Vampire'

This is probably my favorite movie on this list. This was like my movie back in the day during the fall season. I watched it all time! I just wish that I was the little kid from Stuart Little who had a friend vampire in their closet. Their adventures begin before they met one another, Tony had dreams about a vampire and their journey to the underworld. The Rudolph met Tony and flipped his life upside down! Tony helped Rudolph discover things about his family and Rudolph helped Tony become more of confident person. It's a really sweet movie with action, horror, and comedy.
'The Conjuring' Universe

So this isn't really a Halloween movie franchise, but it is one of my favorites in the scary movie realm. The newest movie coming out is The Nun. IT is the origin of the nun called Valek who is introduced to us in The Conjuring 2. If you haven't seen it you need too! It's about the Warren's and their business of dispelling the supernatural.
'Practical Magic'

Honestly, I wish this was my life. Being a witch and hanging out with my family all the time? Yes please! Just add a man that isn't crazy or won't die. It's about a family of witches who always have two sisters (finally just realized that) who are kind of cursed with men. They come together to break this curse and try to live their best lives as the weird people in town.
Extra: 'Scary Movie'

So this isn't necessarily a Halloween movie, nor a scary one, but they are hilarious and are a compilation of like all the scary movies! There is also a bunch of them! You don't even have to watch them in order either. It's kind of like American Horror Story, but for movies.
